combined with the speed combat we got where you can mask skills animations and perform barswap combos, you can exploit the combat system and to many ppl there is so many unrealistic aspects and the kind of aspects that are royally unfair compared to other classes. for example> class that uses skills that are channeled is in huge disadvantage compared ro classes that can instant cast.
ppl talk about cooldowns, but some magical way they forget to add that when you activate heavy attack, you can launch skill and you can finish the heavy attack during the skill, but only after certain point. this means that you deliver the heavy attack blow faster than you should be while adding the instant skill dmg to this. while you have the combo going and the heavy attack finishes the cooldown for both skills are going right? so. lets talk about gab closing abilities. you have started bow attack, poison injection or the focused aim, which along you have also started heavy attack, then you bar swap into your 2h weapon and use the gab closing ability from that skill line.the moment you land on target, as the bow skills have traveling time, you can connect the poison injection or focused aim or both + gab closing ability + heavy attack + ultimate and ofc the viper proc at same time.
how many cooldowns you can fit into 1-3sec before it lands into target? QUITE MANY! and then we get this ultimate cheese aka proc dps sets.
sets with paragrap, like valkyn scoria, arent that bad, as it tells the target that oh ***, i am getting hit, but the previous combo ijust mentioned, you dont get any indication until the first attack lands on you and after that within 1sec you get delivered all those skills + procs and because of that ppl always talk that i died within 1 sec. procs aswell are instant, and you can have first proc, the viper proc on the bow attack, then next proc when you connect with your target,and last proc when for example selenes procs.
so : on time line > zero sec : launch attack, cooldownstarted, proc, cool down started, ability has travel time of 2sec or whatever, therefore you have that much time to fit in procs and other abilities, light attacks, skills, ultimates and procs.
my stamina templar for example. my usual way to ambush targets while using valkyn scoria, my only proc set. i launch heavy charge in middle air,then activate javelin while starting ultimate and then gab closing, if all done correctly, the target gets hit by my javelin cc and knockback, then my valkyn scoria lands on him and he jumps into air, and then i land on him, and then i finish it with jab attack. if all goes well i get ambush kill, but in my situation the target gets alarm before my attack lands, but requires high reflex and good ping, while in bow ambush, the target gets indication that attack been launched at him when first attack connects with him therefore he has zero chance to react before any dmg is dealt to him.
valkyn> with paragraph, not instant. viper ,not with paragraph,instant.
so. certain dps proc sets overperform with big numbers + give you stupid amount of extra dmg to make sure you instant kill target without them being able to fight back.
