Is it me or this is an empty pie dish acting as a blue flame brazier on a imperial pedestal at the entrance of Imperial City Prison? :D

    Nice catch

    Thank you.

I wonder if it's a bug (or so) ZOS didn't realize about or if it's intended with a reason behind.

Why does that have to be a pie dish? This doesn't make any sense to me

One thing I like about the housing update is that seeing so many objects in isolation makes it easier to recognise them out in the world and to see what's 1 object and what's 2 or 3 combined to make something new.

For example I was going into a cave somewhere on Auridon the other day and stopped short in the entrance when I noticed they'd combined Curtain Ivy with an upside down Lush Ivy partially embedded in the ground to make it look like the ivy was growing along the ground and up the wall of the cave instead of just hanging down. I really liked that effect and might well use it myself somewhere.

In this case my guess is whoever designed this area wanted an empty brazier emitting blue flames and because that doesn't appear anywhere else in the game that object didn't exist already and making a new object would take more time or effort than they could justify spending on it for a one-off that's not a key focal point of the area (especially since that person may not normally build models as part of their job so they'd have to get someone else to do it for them). So instead they made do with what they had - making something that looks like an empty brazier emitting blue flames...as long as it's not looked at too closely by players familiar with the individual objects. :D

And if you think that's strange wait until you hear about the invisible bunnies that power WoW: https://kotaku.com/the-invisible-bunnies-that-power-world-of-warcraft-1791576630

“Sometimes,” [the software engineer] said, “you don’t know designers need a kitchen until they’ve made ramen in a flower vase with an iron.”
