Bruh I've been grinding this same damn dolmen in Stonefalls for about a good 2 to 3 hours now, and still have not encountered a purple Silks of the Sun necklace or ring. Better yet, I haven't encountered any purple quality jewelry at all.
And well... I've been thinking...
Are you developers still so certain that having players do the same repetitive tasks for hours to days on end makes them find the game more appealing? I'm not even going to get into VMA grind, as I'm 400+ runs without a sharpened inferno or lightning. So yeah. I've pretty much all but given-up hope for that stuff. But anyway, are you all still sure about your decisions on refusing to add things like a trait re-roller (similar to the mystic in Diablo 3: RoS) and lessen the RNG involved for players to get what it is they seek? Are you sure it's not a smart idea to remove BoP and all that goofiness? Are you sure it's not a smart idea to allow a token system of sorts for: Dungeons, trials, and VMA (kinda a trial lol)?
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but part of the reason why you've lost so many damn players over the years is because of the numerous layers of RNG involved in so many things. Part of the reason why you've lost so many players, is because they are tired of spending so much of their time hunting for something. Rather than actually going out and enjoying the game and getting certain content done. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results? The player base has told you all at ZOS for how many damn years now to add a token system to content like VMA. And what do you all do? Completely ignore it. Lol. Then somehow people claim we (the players asking for said things) are entitlement issues. Aaaaaand to combat this, you doooooo what? Right. Nothing. That's right. Lol.
I've played tons of games involving RNG. WoW, Destiny, Disgaea 5, GTA:O (yup even this has RNG when it comes to special crates and holiday giveaways), Pokémon (all of them lol), Digimon (all of them too lol), Witcher 3, Diablo 3, etc. I could go on and on. But what sets these games apart, is that they implement ways for players to combat the ridiculous RNG at hand. Pokémon implements new and interesting ways game after game to make catching shinies all the more easier. Diablo 3 has Kadala for making the acquisition of certain gear easier, and then the mystic to help get better traits on your gear. Disgaea 5 has all types of systems involved to help lessen the RNG at hand, and so on. What really does ESO have to help limit the amount of RNG experienced by players in game? And please don't mention that atrocity that is the Cyrodiil zone vendor. I know people who've blown 2M+ AP, and still haven't gotten what it is that they seek.
And yes, I am the same dude who got that good RNG a few days/weeks back regarding writs and crown crates. But, that still does not take away from the horrible RNG dragging this game down.
