Ever since the new update has come out, the game population is embarrassing. Just before morrowwind on steam, ESO had 22,000 players at its peak while maintaing around 18k players. I've been checking for the past week on STEAM and now it maintains around 9k, with the lowest (I ever saw) of 6k last night... what is going on, this game is going to end up dead!

    2. there are a lot of new games and dlc being released right now,

    Steam doesn't count console players

Steam doesn't count PC players that aren't linked to steam. Many don't buy the game via steam and all accounted that started near launch were not sold via steam I doubt any of those would choose to link their account.

Once again they failed to deliver and if they keep this up it,s gonna end up being a RP game since nore PVE neither PVP players enjoy this sh**t anymore.
BG broken, raids with having to heavy attack ALL the time not enjoyable any more and PVP unbalanced as always.
But what do I know.I've only been playing for 3 years.:)

I think marrowind would have done a lot better if they left the cp system alone and left the buffs and nerfs from homestead update in place.

A lot of people in game hate the changes to cp and sustain. PvE and PvP.

Maybe if they started to listen to what there customers were saying, things might improve...

I don't hold out much hope though, if anything i'd say their community interaction is getting worse.

This, a thousand times this. Steam summer sale just started, and the average number of players hasn't even really gone down that much.

I'm again pointing out, servers still overpopulated, i can find anyone to play with anytime to do anything. Beside this cyro zerg groups doubled. Now they are coming on you with 2 full raid group.

Yes game is dead, please don't go cyrodill, its dead no one there :*

    ive noticed a considerable drop in players(ps4 eu) but that could be attributed to different things;

summer(although its raining hard in manchester uk, whats new)
    folk on holiday
    family commitments
    and morrowind is a dissapointment

i know that in the next cpl of weeks there are things happening that will stop me playing eso so much, they are the skyrim update, beyond cyrodiil and the new update to diablo 3, necromancer, and then the nail in the coffin will come in the form of tera online towards the end of the year.

The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

Isn't there a "noticeable" drop in players like... every summer, especially the first few weeks? [I have a feeling I read a post like this before, last year, but on another forum... :thinking]

People are going on vacation & are enjoying the steam sale. I'd say it's normal.

I love Steam but I will not use it for games like ESO that have their own launcher and account. It always results in problems since there are two layers of authentication that have to work together.

Any possible chance to slam the game and you guys are all over it, even when it's as stupid as the original post. People that bought ESO through steam and are therefore linked are an extreme minority. The rest of you that think the game sucks so bad should move on. If you aren't having fun, why play it? Just once I'd like to read a post that wasn't full of millennial tears and whining.

I despise Steam as well... they've given me horrible customer support in the past (Bought Tales of Zesteria, won't run on my PC because of an audio bug within the game itself - couldn't get refund even though I met all conditions for one).

Not to mention the stupid client updates on a weekly basis and also sucks up massive PC resources.

Do you know what drives off a significant number of players? Players who make threads which espouse the "end." MMO players are a rare breed in that they set about destroying the thing they love with negativity and what I'll call "reverse-hype." Think of reverse-hype like reverse-psychology. You can, with enough effort, convince a number of people who are new to the game or simply checking the forums to get a feel for the community, that this game is doomed to fail. Your negativity is contagious bait for sheeple. Yes, there are smart people who won't fall for it. But for every smart person there is a sheep which simply follows the herd from one MMO to the next.
