The problem is again related to Steam for the connection and ping issue.
Not exactly. The people I was with are old school and don't use steam. They got kicked out before I did and all I got was major ping spikes. Then after a while they got back in, we played a while longer then my connect froze and was kicked. Trouble is they got in after a few minutes but the steam users are still here waiting, like every time this happens (weekly if not more often).
The thing is that the game itself is not having issues, the login servers are completely separate and cannot be isolated from the world and are likely less hardened against attack. Steam users almost certainly access a different login server than legacy users. The DDoS being aimed at the servers had limited success bringing the legacy login offline so they switched to the Steam side where they always have success, possibly due to it not being wholly under ZoS control.0 -

✭✭Some poor guys we were fighting in IC stopped moving and died, we were confused until we started lagging shortly after.
Only they lost a lot of stones and couldn't do anything about it.

RIGHTEOUS_REPORT✭✭✭The megaservers had a big downgrade, what do you expect? Until ZM actually upgrades these so called magaservers the ping spikes 999+ will just get worse I see it myself, it has got worse and worse.
Every other online game works fine, so its not my network.
I sent you a detailed explanation ZM regarding this issue 6 months ago, I said this will get progressively worse if you ignore.
I've had enough ZM, got better things to do.2
