A fabulous enhancement suggestion

Do you know what would be a fabulous enhancement to this already wonderful experience: Pause the timers on food/drink buffs whilst reading lore books and in dialogue. I find myself hurrying over conversations and skipping all the great lore because the timer on my carrot soup or crown fortifying meal is running. I also like to walk about 50% of the time to take in the RP experience and well, it's a shame to miss all the conversations and the lore.

Thanks!

Really? Most foods aren't expensive enough for this to even remotely be an issue, the exceptions being Gold recipes and the Orsinium blue Max Health+stam recovery food. I suppose it can seem expensive when first starting the game though. I have no opposition to such a thing.

Eh, most food is super cheap, plus long as you're just questing you can get by without one whatsoever. I'd suggest leveling provisioning too(it's the fastest craft to level by far, last time took me like 30 mins and that's including buying recipes/ingredients for that), if you enjoy exploring you should have plenty of recipes and ingredients and can just make your own food ;)

Daily provisioning writs are great for purple ingredients too if you need them.

Yep, I don't use food when questing. Craft a set of "training" armor for the XP boosts and don't worry about xp pots or scrolls. You'll level fast enough as is.

Thanks all! I'll work those provisioning recipes. I'm just lazy I guess and buy a stack of Crown meals which are expensive (i.e. real money) but the same logic applies to Crown XP boosters- basically anything with a timer from the Crown store (I realize there are many (the majority?) that think Crown store buffs are lame but again it's easiest for me. Happy adventures!!

Omg why would you buy crown store foods?! You can buy like 100 cp 160 foods for 2-3k in-game gold. Lower levels depend, can't always easily find your level but I've bought blue for like 900 gold per 100 food before. Never buy in crown store what you can buy in-game (including XP boosters).

I easily find many loafs of bread (even if I have to steal them). For my stamblade (who lacks health), it's all the food I need for the content you wish to do. It expires in 55 minutes. Within that time, I easily find more bread.

I get it, there are better ways to increase stats through food buffs than the Crown Store and I will pursue these routes as have have been suggested however, pausing the timer on buffs - regardless of where they were acquired - remains, I believe, a good enhancement because it makes sense doesn't it? Why run a timer when not actually involved in combat or if to'ing and fro'ing across the land - e.g. reading lore or enjoying a quest conversation? This is really more the focus of the suggestion and not so much on which specific buffs I actually use. Seems a bit of a disservice to the voice artists and script writers who took the time to develop the dialogue and dream up the lore cannon. Appreciate the feedback!

Probably be a good idea for XP drinks, given that questing is already a less efficient way to level up on a minute for minute basis, there's even less reason to do them if you're just skipping through the dialogue to stop yourself from losing value on your Psijic/Mythic booze.
