Morrowind Store Editions...pre-order content still listed?

Maybe I am seeing this incorrectly or I am confused... as far as I am aware the pre-order discovery pack was only for pre-order.
The standard upgrade cost $40 and you got the discovery pack including the war dog, maps etc.
The Collectors Edition upgrade was $60 pre-order and you got the dwarven spider pet, the mount, and the discovery pack.

So now why is the digital collector upgrade edition listed in the store for $40 containing everything in the $60 pre-order version, including the discovery pack which I thought was just for pre-order?

I feel really ripped off for pre-ordering...should have waited and paid $40 to get everything in that $60 edition....what's up with the pre-order content being available?

Because for 60% of the editions, it wasn't pre-order content.

So basically the pre-order was completely pointless except for the early access?
And everything in the $60 pre-order is just $40 now...

    Wow.

    See here:
    Is this article incorrect?

However, if you purchase this as a pre-order, the folks over at Bethesda will throw in the Discovery Pack on top of the base content. This is only for pre-order, though, so get it while it lasts over on Bethesda's website or grab it on Steam if you're playing the game on PC/Mac.
    and
If you already have the base ESO game and don't care about all of the extra frills, then the Morrowind Upgrade is the go-to option for you. Coming in at the lowest price point of $39.99, this upgrade will also come with the Discovery Pack items as long as you pre-order your copy. It can be found on Bethesda's website, or on Steam for you PC/Mac gamers out there.

It was always the case that the Collector's edition had the Discovery pack included
"If a stick of fish is a fish stick, it will stick like other fish sticks stick"
"Taller races now sit in chairs correctly"

Right- but then basically in the case of pre-ordering the collector upgrade edition. everyone just paid $20 extra for the early access

    Thank you for the clarification.

Thanks a lot for making me look at the store page... Great seeing the collectors edition upgrade for 40$ now. I would expect a sale at some point but one month into it, thanks for screwing the people who preorded into paying more.
