I could be wrong, but the way I remember it, non-CP PvP was supposed to be a sort of experiment to see if not asking the server the do all the calculations that came with every ones' custom CP set-ups and bonuses and passives and whatnot would process faster and reduce lag in Cyrodiil PvP.
Was that ever a thing? Did I just make that up?

That happened for a week but the results where that CP don't really affect lag that much.

Everything you just said came from 1% developer comments and 99% wishful thinking on the forums. ZOS tried No CP week to see if there were any benefits, but there was never any statement that it did any good.
Also, there are a LOT of whining noobs on the forums who are too lazy to grind CP, and these people are relentless about forcing No CP on the rest of us. Those people latched onto the "No CP reduces lag" bandwagon because it fits their agenda.
Sounds like you need cp for a crutch. L2p? Keep Enjoying your lag filled cp cancer fest. I'll keep enjoying my lag free non cp which is much more balanced.

Truth is procs are ZOS's way of "raising the floor." I don't see them going away anytime soon.
The irony is Procs in CP are not a problem. But procs in no-cp ruins the game for new players and vet players alike. ...
Every platform deserves the same respect xbox got with the extra CP 1-week camp. Instead we get herded into no CP camps so johny-2week can not feel to overwhelmed with the cp system.

They are reducing CP PVP because CP is overpowered. What part of that is hard to understand? They trashed the VR ranks and replaced it with this, let it run amok for a long while as it literally gutted skilled PVP play, people CRIED THEIR EYES out on the forums about it.
So what, trash another end game progression system? I mean sure they can probably swing it with the cash they have but even filthy rich mmo companies hate having the admit once again they suck at balancing end game toons.

That's what some people think, but I've heard no analysis on the data by ZOS. Considering how things have shifted, I would think it was otherwise. Can you provide a link supporting what you say?

How bout you give us this new game mode we payed 40$ WITH CP in it..
As a CP 830 why on earth would i want to play a game mode where all cp is removed and my sets are useless since 90% of the game CP is included.
Who came up with the idea to not give the option to use CP in BG lol come on ..
And btw i made a similar thread before and everyone bashed me saying non cp is more balanced..
