I love my Stam NB (Executioner + Steel Tornado are orgasmic :) ) but lately I have been missing my perma stealth of Mag Blade.

Also I would be shortly starting Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood DLC and I have heard Mag Blades excel in those DLCs to the point it seems those two DLCs were designed exclusively with Mag Blades in mind (because of the perma stealth)

Before I decide to respec (and shell out ~7k) I would like to know if I put points into the following will it help me to achieve a level of stealth/sneak comparable to Mag Blade

My NB is Bosmer CP 116 Stam NB but is fully decked in Heavy Armor.

Can someone tell ?

No. Your best chance is going all medium and NMG for the smallest possible detect range. aside from that, it'll help but not much

All medium, well-fitted and the above passives will let you sneak damn near forever. You'll lose 1% stamina every 3-5 seconds so it's not too bad. Just stop every once in a while. If you have 5-pc Night's Silence, you can "sneak" at full run speed.

So even if I fully deck him in Medium Armor (put points in the sneak passive) and put points in Bosmer racial will I still be detected by mobs ??

Of course I wont even pass by them directly but trying to skirt pass them

Re roll magicka. I have mained a stamblade for roughly 40 months. Even in 7 medium you still have to realize that you do not have a decent magicka pool. My pool is 10k, I can get 3 cloak spams in before I am out. It is much easier to just run through everything spamming cloak every 3.5 seconds compared to actually sneaking properly and avoiding detection. Also look at getting vamp, if you haven't already. The ignore movement penalty in sneak is amazing.

As a stamblade, I use Khajiit for the race (same passive as Bosmer), have the legerdemain passive up, and the medium armor passive up, AND there is a sneak penalty passive in the green Champion Point tree. People forget that Legerdemain also contains a sneak/hidden passive along with some other useful ones.

I would say its essential to get Legerdemain levelled before starting TG and DB, as the passives are just too good to ignore. Just make sure you have 20 points spare for it. To level it, simply go to Daggerfall Town and clean out the two ships docked in the north of the town. Everything on them is Stealable, you more or less cannot get caught (there is an NPC who walks on and off one of the ships, but on a very limited path, and is easy to avoid). The entrance to the Outlaws Refuge then is literally just in front of the ships on the dockside.

On top of that, Night Mothers Gaze crafted set and Nights Silence crafted set also contain sneak bonuses.

My khajiit actually uses 5 Hundings Rage, 4 NMG, darkstride Jewellry, plus all passives pointed up where possible. I do have 130+ skill points though. (Thats all quests AND skyshards in the first zones, level 50+, plus half of Cadwells silver zones done, all skyshards and quests). It also helps that I have a Master Crafter character so I can craft pretty much anything I need in game.

I use Witchmothers Potent Brew as well and also keep the DW/Bow equipped with a very effective crafted poison.

5 pieces of Night Mothers EMBRACE, 3 pieces of Night Terror. Use all medium. You'll be a master sneak thief :)

    Thanks mate.
So how is your sneak ?
Are you able to skirt across mobs or do they still detect you ?

Not even MagBlades but NightBlades in general have the best time in those DLC, and if you're a Khajiit? Forgettaboutit.

Being a StamBlade though severely limits the number of times you can cast Cloak. I think I can usually get away with casting three times before I'm bone dry of Magic.

    Wear 7 medium armor
    - 3 pc Night Terror
    - 5 pc Nightmother's Embrace
    - fill last slots as you see fit

The combination of Bosmer passive racial detection reduction + medium armor sneak passives + Night Terror and Nightmother's Embrace detection reduction is beautiful. You'll basically have to touch enemies to get noticed with the aforementioned combination.
