Regarding PC/Mac Patch Notes v3.0.10
Monsters •Immobile monsters will now drop threat faster after they realize they can't hit you.
I wonder does it count also for the overland bosses, who were chasing players very far from their respawn spot hitting even when we jumped into deep water trying to run away.
I had that issue last time with Stroda gra-Drom, she was chasing me far into the water and while I was swimming she stood in place hitting me to death with 3 fireballs.
Could not defend myself while swiming so it's truly unfair to be unable to either run away fast by swimming or heal in the water when monsters hit me from their dry land.
Would be nice to have some water-based healing spell useful while swimming.
If I described it well, I run away from boss only when I feel it's the only way to save me from certain death. If it's an open world and I have the possibility to run or swim I choose whatever comes first. In this time I accidentally went into deep water and started to swim from shone in panic. But the boss kept casting fireballs at me 3 times and if you know this boss' behaviour she casts her fireballs in few seconds intervals. If the patch note says that monsters "will now drop threat faster after they realize they can't hit you", the boss should now forget about me after 1-st fireball because I already went far away. All I wanted to know is how the boss will react now, whether the patch notes are talking also about bosses.ShedsHisTail wrote: »Seems to me that if you want to keep casting spells while you run away, maybe don't try to be cheap by jumping into water where the monster can't follow you. I mean, that seems like an awfully abusable mechanic, being able to heal in water, especially in PvP.
