100K from writs every day, week, year? If I do those, I get 3.6k + 300 from trash shipment mats + max 700 from gear = 4.6k daily from it. The gold per minute is still greater than stealing, though.
From gold mats, exp pages, master writ plus doing them on 10 characters nets me just about 40k from that all my mats are farmed so it's pure profit for me.
It get way more then 100k but some days RNG is not nice some days I can make 500k if all the good stuff drops
I'd spend my entire daily allotment of playtime in load screens doing writs on 10 characters. I'll stick to my 2, still net plenty.1 -
Donari✭✭✭✭I'm guessing people saying they profit from activity x or y (eg Writs) mean they are getting things they sell on guild traders?
Then the answer to why some of us struggle to make coin is that we can't sell stuff on guild traders because we can't promise to log in often enough and make enough money to tithe and be allowed to stay on the roster. I'd have loads more gold if there wasn't such a barrier to casual listing of items for trade. I wouldn't be a baron, my game fun doesn't lean to playing the market, but at least I'd do better than vendor prices.3 -

I have 9 mil and i hustle traders n make flips. I buy what i want when i want. Golded out a whole set of plague doctor just to try it once n never use it again . Thats how i roll boy . Get out mah way when u see me stuntin down elden root trader lane .

I pay guildies 50k just to message zone chat confessing their (untrue) sexual orientation .

Imryll✭✭✭✭✭I finally saved up the gold to buy Mathiisen Manor, but now I find that I prefer the sense of possibility that savings give me to owning virtual real estate. Of course it didn't help that ZOS walled in the manor's windows ... But really, the sense of having choices is more fun than I would get from spending the money, so I imagine that I'll hold onto it until I have enough that I can indulge an impulse or two without losing that sense that Tamriel is my oyster.0 -

Wise move. The Sixth House pages drop like once per server per decade. They have not yet invented the floating point system that can accurately describe the drop rate. I spent a couple of days trying to find a hint that they exist. I got a ton of gold from various mobs, but no costume drops from any mobs or bosses.XBox EU/NA:@ElsonsoJannus

Try theorycrafting, dude. You will end up with no money in no time.

I always do maths before spending money. The thing is, for PvP theorycrafting, pen-and-paper is just a small first step, you still have to test everything. There are things that look so good on paper but in reality they don't fit your playstyle at all. Especially there are so many RNG-based sets, so on paper the number might look good on average but how often they proc rely too much on your playstyle, the enemies and the surrounding. Upgrading armor sets to golden quality, buying new armor sets items and furnishing on a regular basis will require substantial amount of gold.
If you don't do any of the above, you're saving many millions of gold for other use.
Also, buying the alchemy ingredients and crafting the potions by yourself is cheaper than buying the potions in guild store/s.Some videos I recorded for fun: Main character:
