Which monster set is best for a healer and why?

There are none that are worth giving up two 5 sets. That is usually worm and SPC, if not worm then something like mending or twilght or sanctuary.
But because I am a special snowflake and I have both a master resto and a vMA lightning staff, I run bogdan the nightflame with willpower. I do not recommend this for trails, though the few normal trials I have ran with it, when the group is stacked the healin done is crazy with Bogdan. That is on my Templar healer.
On my baby warden healer I am planning on running sentinel of rekugums, with SPC(I have a resto staff of SPC) and lamaias song(I have a lightning staff of lamias song) on my back bar for when I hit an ulti people are still getting healed.Edited by Lightspeedflashb14_ESO on June 25, 2017 9:22AM1 -

2pc- when you heal a friendly under 60% health their health recovery increases by 1548 for 10 seconds
I don't normally use daggers, but when I do, I choose dos Lekis.0 -

Pawsy✭✭For PvE you can run Chokethorn if you have a small group, Sentinel if you are running lots of stams, nightflame if theres lots of stacking, troll king if none of the above requirements are fulfilled.1 -

This....and because I play my chars just as healers in 4-man-stuff I use Molag Kena as the single piece undaunted (strangely I got that helm half a dozen times in heavy and divines/infused). I agree though that after the sustain nerf any piece with magicka reg would make more sense.

RizzlyBear✭✭✭Troll king in pvp, the only choice. It's very powerful for any build, a healer with troll king and simply spamming regeneration will make the entire team more survivable.

✭✭✭✭✭It's a trick question if talking PVE. You are far better off wearing 2 5-piece sets as a healer in PVE. Because you should be going Resto/lighting staff, there is no room for a monster set.
In PVP, Troll King seems to be the go to.0 -

✭In pve you typically would wear 1 pc monster set. This allows you to wear two 5pc sets, eg. Worm and SPC.
I use troll king head so I get the 1pc healing bonus. You could also wear Sentinal head or shoulder for the same bonus. Or Kena for the spell crit which is good for your healing crits.PC NA - GreggsSausageRoll0 -

I don't like Engine Guardian from both sides.
