Any particular reason that furniture-crafting materials don't come in mail/from refinement?

Currently I get 100% of my weapon, armor, etc. crafting needs fulfilled by hireling mails and refining those materials. This is great, I feel, because I had to invest quite a bit across multiple characters in order to get to that point. This also means, however, that I have zero need to go out and grab nodes in the wild unless I'm hurting for Viridian Dust or some other new style material component. Thus, I find that my need to craft furniture is in direct opposition with the way we've been encouraged to build our characters, outside of folks that just really like that endless grinding chore. I'm of the opinion that furniture crafting should interface with the rest of the crafting system via hireling mails and/or the refinement process, otherwise what even is the point of the hireling mails? (besides the stories, naturally)

    It would be nice. I think they're not there because housing was meant to be a huge goldsink(gotta say it succeeded :D )...and cash sink too. I mean you don't really have to sped that time farming to be able to craft when you can just buy it instead, do you?:p

    I think they already upped the furniture mats droprates in open world due to the hype mostly dying down. Adding them as obtainable elsewhere would be just a small nice QoL change that I don't think ZOS will bother with. It's not that much of an issue though, cheap enough to buy at guild traders, plenty out there.

    They haven't bothered to update the mails to contain them or do not intend to update the mails to keep the amount of material down.

    Perhaps they could revamp the Hirelings. So, it works thusly:

    20 Hour Timer

    Tier 1 what we get now
    Tier 2, what we get now as Tier 3, but only once a day
    Tier 3 Adds 2 stacks with Furniture mats
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Yeah I legit can't even be bothered with the 12-hour timer on tier 3, I just get it once a day anyway. It's a shame, but I don't have that kind of time, you know?
