I bought this game as Imperial edition, when it definitely wasn't on sell. But thats not the point.
Considering your all beloved crafting bag, it`s USELESS.
I don`t craft on my main character, and all my mats are on " mule ". I simply have no reason to use that bag. Totally waste of click. And to give armors, weapons and etc I still need to go to bank, put everything there, then log in on other character, take that and go to stations. Kinda alot of running/loading right?
So, after buying a house, doing all needed craft stations, you discover that...ohh you wasted alot of gold, but know what? You still need to run to town, since were smartpants, and gonna bill you about 2/4 price of the game for a bank for your house, that cant even acces guild bank. YAY!
Seems legit.
Well, you know you don't have to be here, right? And noone promised that you can live inside your house and never leave. Actually the devs made everything to make sure it does not happen. Dead cities and everyone by themselves inside their house is not a good description of an MMO.
Then why add all mundus stones, crafting stations, crafting stations that copy bonus sets and a ability to add ONLY crown store bank to your house?
Doesn`t it kinda show`s a hole in your logic, about "making sure. that cities aren`t dead " .
Don`t eat a rotten tomato, if some dude said it`s tasty.
They made house that has everything you need, but limited 1 central thing to real life cash. Basically making everything useless. Srsly if I could get my gold back from house, I wouldn't even think twice.
Using town bank, stations are faster then my own house where all stations are damn next to each other, so you almoust don`t need to move to access them.
Mundus stones are crown store exclusive too, btw. And they cost 4000 for each...
Housing was targeted at RP crowd and not at "make everything as efficent as possible" crowd. If you can't be bothered to walk 2 meters between crafting stations, well, tough luck I guess.
Well, I see it`s kinda pointless to talk, since you making a string vibe of person, who doesn`t want to admit, that company makes fun of him, because he was loyal and bought everything without second guessing.
You were talking about not making world dead-empty, but when I said that it`s already could be made...for real cash you just ignored that and spoke only about mundus...
No offense intended, but look on the point of this.
.....
I cant just comprehend that in my head....this is just low and pathetic.
Making fun of me? No. Acting like an industry? For sure. The earlier you admit that modern gaming is an industry and not a bunch of people who love games the less painful your gaming experience will be.
ZOS wants to make money. There is no way around it. So they create stuff people will pay for. It's simple. If you feel like you are not interested in some of those items/services or the price is too high... well you do not buy them. Simple. I actually don't have the banker or the mercahnt for the same reason, in my opinion they are too expensive. But for the same reason I do not drive a Lamborgini even though it is really cool. I do not write a post on the forums whining about how Lamborgini is so expensive though.
Gaming is an industry. You are not forced to be their customer. They are not forced to listen to you. If they think that the banker's price is in the right place they sell it for this price. And looks like a lot of people actually buy it for this price.
And btw, you have everything you need for crafting in your house. Noone ever promised to give you bank access. It is not a necessary feature for crafting. You can bring all the materials in your inventory and I believe the materials from your bank can be used at any crafting station anyway. So you are not forced to have bank access if you want to craft in your house.
DMuehlhausen wrote: »I hope they don't do anything like this.
I get why people want to do basically everything from their house, but if that happens then the game will feel dead. If you can do anything you want from a house why even bother going into the cities. Might as well just go play Skyrim if you don't want to see or interact with other people.

This,^^^^^
I can kinda sorta accept going to town for guild bank and repairs (although I feel like you should have this option at the house), but I really want to park my alts at my house but can't because no writ boards and turn in at the house.
ya ya I know, you have to go to town for a reason or they'd be a ghost town. Honestly between guild traders, dailies, and zone chat, I feel like we are fine.

Hardly it would be even so much " drama " if that bank was part of DLC bonus like smuggler. Or at-least costed adequate price.

Call me stupid, but HTF do you get Tythus to work in your house? No matter what I try I get a 'This feature can't be used in this zone' error, or something to that effect.
i.e.; I do have him placed in my home.
I have the Sleek Creek House (Reaper's March) and he works perfectly fine for me, but I have him outside my home by the entrance. Which house are you trying to use him in?

Pick him up and put him back in your inventory, then go to the housing editor, place him on flat ground and make sure surface drag is on and he's green when you place him.
For best results, place him on the ground. Placing him on planks or other furniture sometimes causes a glitch where he won't work. If your problems persist, I would submit a ticket bc that's not normal.

Do you own one of the imperial houses? For some weird reason they are considered "warzone" same as Cyro and IC and you can't use assistants there.

The Crafting bag is an amazing QoL feature. You never have to think about the crap you're picking up for crafting. Just grab it and go.
Also, if you're crafting, you can always leave everything you need in your bank. The crafting stations (even the ones in your home) can pull from your bank.
Already doing that, don`t see any reason to get that bag.
And I dont need to keep most of crafting mats in bank too, like I said. I have crafting mule that only purpuse of existence is to keep all mats in this bag, and craft/deconstruct/enchant whatever i want.
And like I said 3 times already. To give him armors/ weapons and etc to deconstuct/research from my main, I need to take that " mule " to city bank, after that why I need to go back to my house? Thats pointless, since im already in the city...lack of personal bank inside house just removes any logical reason in buying stations inside it...it`s easier to use town ones.

Wut? What are you talking about? Craft bag is available for all characters, just like bank, except it's always with you. It automatically withdraws and deposits any crafting material you need/get from/in there.
Bank is also available for all characters while crafting iirc so I have no idea why you're making your poor main and alt run back and forth instead of keeping crafting mats in the bank and simply crafting. Only reason to visit bank, even without crafting bag, is to deposit mats you get from deconstructing/farming, not withdraw them. Well also deposit gear if you need/have space.
There're a lot of things to bash ZOS for, but at least get your facts straight before doing so.

Read my post more carefully. I`m tired of " copy-pasting" this to everyone, who didn`t have time to read what I replied to others.
1) This bag is useless, I will say that alot more times.
It`s not useless, only for those, who craft and play on same characters. In my case, I don`t. Im leaving alot of skill points free that way. My " mules " handles everything in craft bar, so basically he doesn`t go anywhere other then stations or bank. He doesn`t even have a single attack skill or even weapons. Because I use him ONLY for crafting, and well he has almost maxed bag, so whats the point of that "crafting bag " If I can`t " fill " even his regular one? Right NONE. So stop arguing about it. No everyone finds that bag useful.
2) Bank is available for every character? I didn`t argue about it, I said that giving alts gear/armor and etc-etc to research, deconstruct requires bank. right? So, a " crafting mule " needs access to bank, for taking them, it`s logical right?
Soo, now we return to our thread. Zos gived us option to get all regular stations and set stations, inside bought house, BUT this " way " people still need to run to town and collect everything ( not mats) from bank.
And here comes a question, why in kwama name anyone needs to spend tons of gold/crows to make a crafting haven from personal house, while he still needs to go to town? In this game you can teleport to nearly anywhere, so going to small town that has bank and stations and what comes to mind? Right, you don`t need a house since it`s not efficient or convenient.
This would be one thing, just bad design in that " expansion ", but hey they added option to put a bank here, for 5k crowns, again thats great news yea?
Well it could be...if that thing didn`t cost almost the same price as 4 DLCs bought together or upgrading account to morrowind expansion.
Or you wanna tell me, that a bank with limited functions should cost same as 4 DLCs with dungeons, actual voice recordings, locations, items, quests?
But since im 100% sure, that nobody will read anything in the middle again. I will repeat, doing crafting house, without option to store items there or access bank, is completely pointless, since small towns in this game do better job at it.

There is little to no point in crafting place at your house, with or without banker. Towns are just so much more convenient - not just they have all the crafting stations and bank but also other players for possible chatting/trading in zchat, UD hubs, writ pick up and drop off spot. Only stations that make sense in houses are consumable ones for different enchants/food testing on dummies and attuned ones in guildhalls so you don't have to go all the long way to your crafting writs. The few people who REALLY want their own crafting place buy their banker, which imo is absolutely unnecessary if you have crafting bag, but hey if they have the money to waste, why not. Housing is just fluff, deal with it and don't do it if that's not what you want.
Also, sound like you have inventory management issues and that is the source of your complaints. You do not use bank to bounce items between characters, you use mail and bouncing off friends for that. Once you are done leveling crafting on all the characters you play you also stop doing that and start deconstructing stuff for mats right on the char you get them on, after which you deposit mats in the bank. You don't need to learn traits or anything but you need the deconstruction passives maxed out and that's it.
If you're legit running to bank every time you get a white trash sword so you can give it to your crafting alt, I can see why you'd suffer without a portable banker. Learn to manage your inventory better. It's tough but possible without crafting bag and banker.
You're obviously within your full right to do otherwise but that's just your complicating your own life and not ZOS' fault.

Don`t want to be offensive, but you atleast tried to read what I wrote?
You just basically copy-pasted what i wrote that houses right now are useless, since towns are better.
Second, it`s my choice what character to use for deconstruct, right? I hope everyone knows that " mule " needs to level up crafting from it....and white swords...whaaaat..i don`t even take them from loot..if it doesn`t have trait I need.
You took from your mind some-kind of management problems, that I don`t have and didn't say a word about...
My inventories and bank are never full.

Thats pointless, since im already in the city...lack of personal bank inside house just removes any logical reason in buying stations inside it...it`s easier to use town ones.asa67dragoneb17_ESO wrote: »asa67dragoneb17_ESO wrote: »
Now tell me, who gonna buy crafting stations for a house, and then run from it to a nearest bank?( And most of the houses are in the middle of nowhere ), this is just low.
People who subscribe to ESO+ and have access to Crafting Bag. There is nothing wrong in playing the game for free after spending mighty 20$ while it was on sale. But it also makes sense that people who pay money and support the game get a little more QoL features.

5k crowns in a sale is half that price...
Id happily pay £20 IF it had access to guild bank / store, even if only when i was home.
This isn't p2w.
And if you sub or buy crates you have the crowns to buy him.asa67dragoneb17_ESO wrote: »asa67dragoneb17_ESO wrote: »starkerealm wrote: »asa67dragoneb17_ESO wrote: »Considering your all beloved crafting bag, it`s USELESS.

Okay I read the middle.
Okay you have a mule who doesn't even use all his inventory so that's why you dont sub because you don't need the craft bag. Fine.
The one thing you need to make housing convenient is the banker. That's the only thing. Don't you think it is smart business to make the ONE thing you desire most cost money?
You can have it all in this game for the base price. You can choose to craft with a mule the way you want. but the one thing that will improve your game is the convenience of the personal banker. That is the reason it costs money: you don't need it, you want it. You can do the entire game without the banker no restrictions. Before housing you were able to craft with this mule so it's not like housing was necessary for your preferred method. It's not p2w if you can do all the things without the personal banker.
It seems like you haven't spent a dime on this game as far as subscription or crowns. It seems like you want the base price you paid for the Imperial edition to cover all their server costs and business costs forever. That's your prerogative to not spend money on the game. And it's a business's prerogative to charge money for convenience. It turns out Zos isn't as dumb as some people like to think. They know the banker is desirable.
Is the crown bought banker account wide, or works only for one char ?

Also doubled bank size now. And of course +10% XP, Inspiration, and Gold gains. So... that's a thing.

Yeah, the one thing I really wish with the banker, and the store for that matter, is that they opened up their full functionality when you plopped them in your home. I understand not having guild bank and store access out in the middle of nowhere, but it would be really nice to be able to list things from the comfort of Daggerfall Overlook.

I have plenty space in my upgraded one. I`m doing every quest, delve, spot...well im leveling too fast already. And since I don`t have a reason to spend gold anywhere...you get the point of " gold gains ".....

Yes. That was the only reason I could justify the expense. AUD24 from memory.
It said he "can't be used in Cyrodiil" - Ok. WTF would I want to go there? It's too dangerous!!!!
It didnt say "cant access guild stores".

Once you've finished leveling, and are looking for the sets you want, gold will become far more useful.
starkerealm wrote: »Is the crown bought banker account wide, or works only for one char ?
Nearly everything you buy from the crown store is account wide. The only exceptions are some oddball things like the bites and bag space (the bank space upgrades are account wide, though), and consumables (so, the potions, poisons, soul gems, training lessons, ect).
Just about everything else is account wide. Now, some things can't be used on every character. For example, some hairstyles (in the massive bundle) are gender locked. But the assistants are account wide. Same with your mounts and costumes.
