First of sorry if this is not the proper place to put this. I don't know where else it can go. I did this for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim when they came out. Since I am coming back to ESO and still don't know how it works or I should say what ESO can actually offer us since we have no manuals I thought I would make one here so I can possibly other people can learn something new and enjoy ESO more.

While a lot of this might seem common knowledge I am sure there are many people like me who just don't know the simple things what ESO offers or what we can do.

I will start my first did you know.

Did You Know if you play with a head set there is so much sound vibrance going on? I played on Xbox One and thought the music sounded good and sound was good but when I started on PC and needed a head set to listen to it so I don't bother the wife while playing on my laptop I was AMAZED on how great the sound actually is. Not sure if it's on Xbox One since I don't have a head set for Xbox put on PC you can hear the currents of the rivers, the back ground noise of the environment and the music just makes it majestic.

Another Did you know and you will see where I am coming from after playing from Day One then quitting but only finding this out yesterday, is...

Did You Know that a Delve is a like a public mini dungeon and each one has a Skyshard?

So please no matter how simple or common the knowledge is, please give us your Did You Know so I can enjoy ESO. I am loving this game now where before I thought it was OK and want to know what more ESO has to offer and I am missing.

Did you know that Steven Blum does voice acting for ESO, some of my favorite rolls he has voiced include, spike spiegel (cowboy bebop), mugen( samurai champloo), zabuza and orachimaru(naruto) and TOM from toonami.

Skills level on your bar even if the weapon isn't equipped. Good way to level 1h+Sh and Resto staff since they don't have good offensive options.

You can hear all that on Xbox as well. I just take my headphones I use for my computer and plug them into the controller (had to mess with the console audio settings a little) and viola.

Did you know that stealing can actually be pretty lucrative? Many newer players, (myself included once upon a time) believe an amount such as 10,000 gold is a small fortune, hard to come by, however, you can easily make that much in as little as a day or two by just finding a good location to steal everything in sight, then Fence it, depending on how many items your character can Fence in a day. Do not worry, you can easily buy that Horse!

Did you know that Combat Mechanics are wildly different from the Singleplayer games we know of? Unfortunately the game will penalize you if you attempt to play utilizing both physical attacks (with blades and Stamina) and Magic attacks at the same time. Hybrids will NOT have an easy time here, the best thing you can do is focus entirely on your Magic Attribute, or your Stamina. Never mix, with very few exceptions.

Did you know that you can level your character up before even setting foot inside the main game? Spend some time in the Wailing Prison Tutorial and go to town on the enemies there. I usually level my characters to at least Level 5 before leaving. This way, you already have a few good Skills unlocked and ready to use once you get to the Overworld.

Did you if you interact with a wayshrine you can travel to other wayshines for free.

I've seen this one come as a surprise to many.

Additional: You can also wayshrine to the Prophet's Harborage one way, as well as directly to trials or group dungeons, even the ones in Imperial City. You can't wayshrine into Cyrodiil, but you need to use the wayshrines in the back of the bases to get back to PvE land. You can travel for free to the nearest wayshine to a group member, friends list, or guild member. Even if no one is where you want to go, you can still get to a wayshine which you can then use to go where you want for free.

(PS, traveling to someone in a new place will discover that wayshrine so you can go back later on your own.)

Did you know:

You can join up to five guilds

and more crucially:

You can colour the chat for each of your guilds so that you can distinguish between your guild chats

You can also make different tabs for each guild or for various chat options eg NPC only, group only, Guilds only, zone only etc.

Did you know that repeatedly pressing your sprint key will give your mount a short boost but also burns stamina faster.

Ability damage changes based on your build and can be checked by hovering over the icon for the ability . So if your wondering how much more or less damage you will do with a new set , that is one way to check .

You can access guild trader you belong to at any NPC banker .

If you ever buy something from a private player through the mail , double check the icon in the mail to make sure it is exactly what you are buying .

Did you know that the postmen of Tamriel are the lazy sort. So mail does not always arrive right away. Items purchased in the guild trade or items sent directly to you can sometimes take awhile.

The best way around this is to log off/on or travel to a different zone. But even then sometimes there is nothing to do but wait.

Ayleid wells, commonly found in certain delves and Cyrodiil, give you a temporary boost to your health.

Lighting a campfire for a pair of travelers on the roadside gives you a stamina boost for a while. Visiting a lit campfire in a zone where you've already done this confers the same benefit.

Reading a motif book or page gives you a small amount of experience.

If your medium armor alone is good enough, you can sneak right behind someone's back without being detected. Night's Silence on medium armor will get just about anyone through a guild heist mission with a couple of minutes to spare, if they're quick and brave enough.

One of the voice actors, Joseph Gatt, also appeared in Dragonborn as the voice of Councillor Morvayn.

Also:

In Cyrodiil if you kill a delve boss you get a buff named "Blessing of War" which boosts your AP gain for an amount of time

Also, delve bosses in Cyrodiil seem to be on a ten minute timer but it also seems like only 1 boss can be up in a delve at a time. So you need to kill the boss that spawns in order to get the other bosses to clear the delve.

Did you know that while riding a mount uphill or a slope, pressing the jump will make it "skip" so it doesn't loose momentum.

Your bounty timer will keep ticking while you're offline (or i.e. logged on to an alt).

If you have a bounty and stolen items you don't want to loose and have discoverd the Auridon Harbourage you can teleport there for free. Follow the beach to the west towards Vulkhel Guard North towards the Waterfall and there is a Fence where you can clear the bounty. No gueards between the Harborage and the Fence. Also sneaking past the Stables from the Vulkhel Guard Wayshrine to get to the Fence works if you haven't yet found the nearby Harbourage.

Did you know that if you use the group finder for dungeons you get a damage buff in the form of more weapon/spell power. Even if the broken group finder kicks you out of the dungeon, travel back in and the buff is still there.

I've been wanting to try it in Cyrodil also but it seems mostly completely broken there.

Every public dungeon has a group event that rewards a skill point. If you do the mages guild daily, it's usually the boss right close to the mad coffer.

Dailies. There are tons of daily quests perfect for getting XP. They also reward motifs at times.

If you upgrade intricate pieces of armor before you deconstruction them you get substantial more mats from it.

Stealing stuff and selling it at outlaw refuge is a great way to make gold. One skill point in the ledger man let's you sell double the stuff to make more gold.

Even if you don't like PvP, it is a part of the game and there's quick easy skill points to get there and valuable skill lines.

For any stam toon there's not much better heal in the game than Vigor. Healers benefit from having Barrier and warhorn and increased magic regen for having them slotted.

Tanks need warhorn and Healers also. Damage buff from guard can come in handy also.

Siege shield has a morph that lets dragon knights chains reach a little further. Comes in real handy for a certain trial.

Rapids.

Be careful though. You might find yourself addicted to PvP once it becomes fun. I recommend Get in a big group. It's been way more fun and productive.

You can que directly into another campaign from your current one, which is helpful if:
- You are jingling fat sacks of tel var around IC and want to escape with them all.
- You are far behind enemy lines and don't want to just die/horse simulator
- The campaign you want is full, but you still want to PvP. Enter the one you can, and que for the one you want.

If you have crown exp scrolls from the expansion or psijic potions to use, complete, but do not turn in, a bunch of daily quests/undaunted. Do a 100k/equivalent random dungeon, pop exp/psijic near the end, and then leave and turn in all your quests to maximize exp/time. This works well as a solo method if nobody will carry you through skyreach.
