What are is the point of mementos? I understand that you sell them for good money. That is not what I am addressing here. Why is it its own collection tab?

✭✭✭✭✭Which mementos are you talking about? The items you normally gain after a public dungeon etc. or the blue items monsters drop?
If it's the latter they're for achievements, once you have looted one it's marked as collected on the achievements, then you just sell it for okay money.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

They used to be Items you could store in your pack/bank, so in order to save inv space ZOS turned them into mementos"Stand strong, stay true and shelter all."

It was, honestly, kinda annoying. There were a bunch, and they'd easily chew up 20 inventory slots if you didn't junk them.1
