I've always been an altoholic. I've never played an mmo without having at least one of every class. I don't have mains, I have what I feel like playing at the time. I have 9 50's in ESO currently, including two wardens.

Hi, my name is MAEK, and I would be an altoholic, if it weren't for my restarteritis. I have created numerous characters since I started playing ESO, but almost all have been deleted and I can rarely get veey far with a character.

Currently I have five, one of each class, and while I have lots of nice ideas for new characters, none of them would make it very far. As soon as I'll start playing them I'll think:
"But wouldn't it be cooler to play that other thing?"
And then when I make that and play it:
"But wouldn't it be cooler to play that first thing?"

Once a character reaches level 50 though, they're kinda safe. Considering how hard it is for me to get a character there, I'm not gonna delete them.

Hi, I'm Donari, and I'm an altoholic.

But not in ESO.

I mean sure, I do now have 7/8 slots filled, but only one level 50 who is my main played since launch and doesn't even have 300 CP yet. Maxed on Smith and Wood, almost maxed on Cloth but my sorcerer is my Clothier for traits ... yet she's only around level 20 and hasn't raised Cloth past the low 20's. It made sense before Homestead >< I have yet to explore every map or see every quest line, I've barely touched the DLC's, there's too much left to do with my main even over 3 years since launch to worry about leveling my alts (they tend to be 10 or less, other than the sorc, who only made 20 thanks to the Jester Festival).

I do like the game a lot, but I only have so many MMO hours to spend in a day. ESO claims far more of them than I'm ready to commit to most days, so I end up in GW2 where I can achieve things -- account wide -- in a shorter time and thus end up spending far more time there.

So in WoW I ended up with a second account so I could have even more RP alts on my RP server, in GW2 I have around 20 level 80's all fully trained to the elite specs (and many of them with lots of solid RP under their belts). And in ESO I have one kitted out DK who's had a bit of RP way back when, one sorc in training, and a few misc lowbies for when I feel like working on them including my new Warden who's just starting her first Vvardenfell quests. I don't count it as altoholism if they aren't all calling out strongly to be played.

My name's Mcgelie, and I'm an altoholic.

I've started and deleted many characters. I've done odd combos (khajiit magplar, Bosmer magplar, high elf stamblade, etc) just for questing and relaxed gameplay. Everytime I see a thread about a particular class, I want to make a new character. My main is a dunmer mdk, and I've been pretty consistent with him, but I have all my slots filled and I'm always starting something new for a few days, then deleting and making a new character.

I've always been an altoholic, too. I think if it's worth doing.. it's worth overdoing...

I currently have 12 characters and I'm waiting for a character slot sale from, ZOS to buy the extra 2 slots to make 2 more.... but I certainly don't think I have a "problem" with making alts... I seem to be able to do it quite well, in fact!

Nah I'm not ready for that step yet, MOAR characters. I am an altoholic as well. Up to 14 characters now and loving it. Yeah the big problem is gearing out all the characters. The advantage is multiple runs of dailies to get that gear.

I thankfully don't try to run multiple characters in a campaign like you Geo. I try to do no more than 2 in a campaign cycle at a time. Gives me a fighting chance to build muscle memory on skills for the campaign. I mainly swap for PvE which is a little more forgiving.

I am becoming an altoholic. I just created 3 new toons tonight. My two that I've been playing the most in the last weeks and months are both Templars. I'm getting tired of being a Templar all the time and I'd like to try out the other classes. I'm even going to try and give a Night Blade some love and attention.

I don't know if I'm going to devote a lot of time to one toon at a time or play all of them for a little time each day, every other day or whatever.

Hello, my name is Keldheir and I am an altoholic, I guess...

I have 14 alts on NA and 8 on EU. On my second account I have 8 on NA and 1 on EU. Makes a total of 31 alts. I use only a few of them but I can't delete most of the rest either. And once I delete one, I immediately make another one.

I might be addicted to creating characters. /-:

we have lost them ladies and gents...RIP @ZOS_CoriJ But no I know the pain, I sat at the screen trying to pick an alt to delete...that was a 5 hour battle that ended with me flipping a coin..best 2/3 then 4/5 then 6/7 and so on.

I admit it, I am an altoholic.

Heres my path to addiction:

i started with 2 characters, which quiclky turned to 4 mules. then I got bored with the first 2 chracters builds. So i deleted the mules, and rolled 6 more characters. Then I joined a trade guild to sell off all the stuff my mules had. Well then discovered that I could make GOLD in this game, and I still ran out of space. well of my original 8 characters i liked 1 of them so I deleted the rest and started over. Then the game expanded to 12 slots and the game changed SOO much that all but 2 of my characters were pointless. When I rerolled this time I rolled 3 of each class, and altleast one of each faction. I still didn't have enough slots. So here came second account, with 12 slots.I filled them up quiclky but still managed to delete and reroll a bunch of times. mostly because after playing them a while I didn't like the way they looked. We after that I decided that i needed 1 account per faction. So i rolled a 3rd account (it was on sale at the time). Then comes Morrowind, and 14 character limits. I naturally had reroll characters to account for wardens.So the end result is:

Total Current Character count: 36
Previously deleted Characters: 55

I'm also an altoholic...got a Khajiit for (almost) every playstyle, which does not necessarily make me any good at anything in particular:

I already deleted 4 characters, over a year ago before buying more slots became possible; now, I plan on recreating them on a second account.

You have a whole Khajiiti village there! You should photoshop them all together into one picture.

@Khenarthi I have never played a Khajiit character and really have had no desire to play one, but I must say that I love the one in the second row in the very center. Also the male Khajiit on the same row, but over to the right two spaces is pretty cool too!

Don't hold it against me that I never had the desire to play a Khajiit. After more than 3000 hours playing Skyrim and playing ESO for nearly a year, I'm just now finding my love for elves. My love for felines will come in time. I do love them in the game! Lizards??? Not so much.

I am the complete opposite. I have a different problem. I only have 1 character and i will only have 1 character. The bond between me and my character has no bounds and creating another would just severe our ties.

As a stamina nightblade vampire main i will be nothing else but a stamina nightblade vampire main. Through thick or thin, nerf or buff i will endure any changes that will happen.

It's Main or Nothing.

I have 12 chars on PC EU:
3 Bananas I only play PvE on (a crafter, a retired sorc and a thief)
1 Smurf I use as mule
8 honorable Pact soldiers:
Two magblades
One stamblade
One stamsorc
One stamdk
One magdk
One magsorc
One magplar.

Except for the smurf, all chars are maxed.

I don't know if this is considered along the lines as an altoholic, but I have an issue where I would delete my character and restart because I didn't like the way they looked. When playing a new RPG it would take me like 30-45 mins to considered I'm ready to play with this toon (DCUO term for character). 20 mins into the game I'll look at my character and find something that I didn't like. Quit the game start a new save and dive back into character creation. It's bad to the point where I'll make a new character atleast 10-15 times before I'll consider not to start over. I'm surprised I actually stopped at 6 when making my character for ESO, but now there's some things that I want to change on him. I'm still content though.

It's so funny that my friends would ask me "So, how many characters did you delete before playing this one? LMFAO" after I put some time into the game.

IDK if I'm considered and altoholic because this is the first time I ever heard of this term and it's meaning.

If so then SOLOistheNAME and I'm an altoholic.

Hi @, I'm also an altoholic, currently with 9 alts from all races and classes. Recently made a mistake by deleting one Orc whom I did not like by his ugly face and big fat body, but he was fully researched and trained. I just created 2 another nightblades, stamina and magicka, took me over an hour in character creation screen, but this part is the best in the game - creating characters

. It's a pity we can't make amends later whenever we want without spending real money for crowns. And I think after we have a few alts any new alt should have the horse training time insceased somehow. I mean we make a new alt and need to wait 3 long months untill it has all horse abilities trained. And then another alt and again 3 months of training separately. It should not be that hard. Buying with crowns isn't a good option, since training lessons are now too expensive. Anyway, cheers all altoholic, see you on the battlefield
