Feedback - alliance change option

I know this has been brought up before but I just discovered an actual functional need for one.

I have an Argonian sorc dps (my 2nd toon created forever ago). Created him because I like Argonian and they have a cool back story (forgive me, this is my first Elder Scrolls game). Only later did I find they weren't the best for dps, so yesterday I bought a race change which is where my problem is... Even with any race, any alliance, the race change limits you to the original alliance character create race options. Apparently the only way to get him to high elf would be an alliance change. Sigh.

Edit for clarity: I don't actually want to change alliances. This is all about race change and difficulties I've found with current race change token options.

Buy the any race, any alliance thingy and you can change his race to whichever you want without needing to be in a different faction.

Edit: my bad, you have it already. Must be a bug then, I've done this with no problems at all.

Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

Sounds like a bug, because I have any race, any alliance, and I've recently changed from a redguard to a bosmer without any problem.

That's what I thought too but no, you can't. I even sent a ticket to support to confirm. Your original alliance choice determines what is available with the race change token.

If so, that's a new policy. I really have done this, though it was months ago.

I've not been limited to alliance restrictions for race changes. I've changed Bretton to high elf and high elf to dunmer. Pretty sure both change crossed alliances.

You don't need to change alliances, you need to buy the Adventurer Pack upgrade. If you already have this (or if you bought ESO Imperial Edition), then you can change to any race regardless of your current faction.
