Is Craglorn still the only place to get nirnhoned items and nirncrux?

Just what the title says. I've never really spent any time in Craglorn other than to drop off my writ items. When I did a search earlier, I found an article saying northern Craglorn is the only place to find items with this trait or to find fortified or potent nirncrux. I wondered if this was still accurate. Thanks!

I've gone the guild trader route for so much stuff. I'd like to see if I can find some of it for myself.

I've been playing this game for almost a year and I've still got a ton to learn. I just did my first dungeon with a group last week. I'm trying to dip my toe into the PVP waters, but I get flattened in seconds! Oh well, one thing at a time.

nirncrux drop in Lower Craglorn now also. You can now harvest nirncrux anywhere in Craglorn....and they increased the drop rate a couple times too. It is much easier to find now than it once was

However, in Craglorn, you find the actual trait stone, not weapons/gear unless you finish the quests. Then you get 1 gear item with nirnhoned trait baked in. That's why it is better to get the stones and then ask your guildmates to craft you an item for research

A: Yes, Nirncrux drops in all of Craglorn off of any node or animal that gives oar, wood, cloth or leather mats.
It can also be found in Heavy Sacks in Craglorn. But the RNG rate of drops kinda low. I can find 2-3 in 30 minutes at times, sometimes I can farm for 2 hours and not find 1.

Yes, vDSA and vMSA will drop a Nirn weapon, and the final quest in Coldharbor used to drop a Nirn Weapon, but to deconstruct that weapon doesn't guarantee you get the Nirncrux out of it.

    Hopes this helps...

LMAO!! Just noticed the date of this thread!! SORRY!! Didn't see it was a bumped thread!! Im such a noob!!! hehe....
