My Spell damage and Defenses refuse to Increase!

When I use power surge and boundless storm my stats refuse to move no matter what. No matter if I use them separately nothing happens. The weird thing is that if my spell power is under 2k, when I use power surge it'll move past 2k. Boundless storm shows that it does nothing no matter what. Both power surge and boundless storm are activated in the picture. Even when my friend who was playing with his warden tried to buff my defense with his "ice Move", no idea what it was called, but it makes my character have ice on my body and I know what it does because he showed me the previous day that it buffed my defenses and I confirmed that it did. As for today it did nothing and my defensive stats did not move as well. I even tested damage output with power surge active and with it not active, it still did the same damage-8k with crystal shards. The platform is ps4 btw.

he only times I've seen my stam nb numbers not budge is because same-effects don't stack. So if you are wearing something like Dreugh King Slayer, which gives major brutality (20% damage increase) and you pop a potion that gives the same major brutality, you won't get 40%. However, you can have say minor and major variants, which will combine. Some sets, passives, potions, etc. share the same effects. You can see what's currently on in the character screen.

Wow I wish I knew about this before farming gear. You're right because I'm wearing rattle cage and the Mighty chudan set. Thanks for the info. I was going out of my mind with this thank you.
