Your Characters - How has the patch affected them?

Biggest difference I'm noticing so far is when I used to regen enough resources moving from one fight to the next in PvE now I need to sometimes stand around and wait for resources to regen before the next fight.

It's put me in a position where I've basically started "maining" another game entirely, usually only getting on ESO when nothing is going on there. Even then I just play a tank since I'm no longer willing to kneel at the feet of the nerf god and make changes every patch b/c the community at large is ignored. That and the fact that there are houses that are more expensive than the game itself which is absurd.

My builds do not focus on max DPS, and I was already building for sustainable resources. The biggest change was in CP and having to go through and figure out what to spend points on now. I reset all my skill points, while cheap, but am largely re-assembling them the same. As such, I really have not noticed much difference.

I can say that experimenting with some of the builds people are publishing to compensate for resource changes in Update 14 results in more work for less DPS.

100% on the super expensive houses, even though they are cool, they not as cool as the entire base game itself.

Today I played my Level 35 Regard Nightblade Lady for the first time since the update.

I believe that she may be a _little_ less powerful, and somewhat more vulnerable than she was -- but it's not a significant thing, and I'll get used to it.

Every time I return to a character after having been away from it for a while, I always have to re-learn their specific skills and fighting style anyway -- so really it's no big deal a'tall. My Lady Regard Nightblade is nothing if not adaptable.

I don't know if this is a patch problem or if my controller is broken. Anybody experience heavy attack cancelling not returning resources?

My experience has been that the entire animation must complete to get the resources. Animation canceling heavy attacks doesn't seem to replenish them.

My stamblade still kills pretty fast but he also runs out of stamina much faster if I'm not careful.

    I solo PvE almost exclusively.

I have noticed almost no difference at all with ONE notable exception:

My Stamblade ran out of stamina during the fight with Barbus. Still killed him, but had to pop a potion mid fight which almost never happened before the change.

Still playing around with the "sweet spot" for my CP, but all in all, I see very little change.

Mighty dropped from 25% to 15%; same with Hardy and Elemental, Warlord/Magician cost reduction gone.. majority of stam abilities nerfed.. yet, you "see very little change." Dude, I'm sorry, but are you still in the denial phase?! Try yet soloing.. let's say Mad Orge in Wrothgar, perhaps the Minotaur boss in the Gold Coast, or how about Rage Claw in Eastmarch or Gargoyle boss at the Valeguard Tower in Rivenspire; just to throw out a few. See if you still see very little change. Ha ha. These world bosses, among many others, I have soloed prior to this patch. Now, no longer, no way.. I mean, granted, yeah, you don't see much difference against any other normal adds or mobs in PvE land.. but damn, I don't know what the hell you've been doing in PvE land that you haven't seen much difference. Good for you, though, with whatever serenity or luck you have been afforded, if that is the case.. but not over here in this lala land.

It has made several of my characters less fun to play, it has made my non-DK tanks even less appealing than they already were vs. my DK (who is also much weaker than before). It has made me completely throw my arms up at PvP and stay out of cyrodiil. Trying to focus on my new warden to keep my spirits up, but between losing another batch of player friends this patch (like a yearly occurrence and no, 99% of them don't come back) and the heavy attack regen meta the game has been much much less fun.

My NB hybrid tank used to be fun too. Now it's all just taunt block and mitigate, and had to go full stam, less skills as options. No less effective as a tank, but a lot less fun, and less able to carry weaker groups.
Hybrid specs seem to be most effected, followed by tanks, followed by NBs.

By comparison, my DPs pure mag sorc didn't need any adaptations at all, unless you count standing still for 1-2 seconds as one. Same with pure spec Templar healer, doesn't even need to stand still, or HA.

Not entirely sure what the changes were meant to achieve anymore... to kill hybrids? make tanking boring? make burst DPSers stand still a moment after combat? discourage experienced players from carrying and teaching new ones? Make character progression less meaningful?

If so, good job Zos, all aims achieved.

However, if it was meant to achieve, Improving game balance for PvE and/or PvP, making combat harder or more strategic, making 1 skill spam spec nonviable, getting rid of infinite sustain specs, increasing skill usage variation, increasing the number of useful CP configurations, making the game more fun.

Then, back to the drawing board Zos, you've failed on all fronts, and need to seriously rethink the direction you're taking.

My Stamblade is better than ever. Of course, he didn't reach 50 and start accumulating CP until after the Morrowind release, so i'm not sure how useful that info is. :p

My characters have grown fat and lazy, especially the Stamina nightblade.
After the patch she was forced to do some lifting and in general hits way harder now and can fight just as long

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's over for my character. The game's no longer any fun. I don't fancy having 2+ years of progression and class choice negated by a single unwanted, unwarranted patch.

My magicka nightblade has always sucked. She was stam nightblade but that sucked so changed her to magicka and that sucked.

All the rest (stam DK, stam Warden, magicka sorc, magicka templar) just use their heavy attacks much more.

I don't play them much anymore. Too much homogenization.
