Seriously. Could this not have been done alongside or after todays patch maintenance? I don't mind losing 1 day of play (maintenance and then had to work) but 2 kind of takes the ***. :(

Considering more maintenance again today, ESO is, without a doubt, the worst performing game/MMO I have ever played, and in fact the worst performing 'tech product' (software/hardware) I have ever used (that isn't broken).

I say this without exaggeration. Everything is broken in this game. Skills are bugged, group finder bugged, infinite load screens, lag, random kicks, it just never ends the game just doesn't work.

Losing an entire day a week is terrible enough (from ZOS's perspective), but losing another is simply too much. These weekly maintenances should take an hour tops.

Worst performing game I have ever seen in my life, Devs are just not cutting it. It's unbelievable. How are they allowed to perform at such low levels and keep their positions? Honest question??

    Hi everyone,

As some of you have reported, after today's PC/Mac incremental patch it is not possible to complete certain quests. We will be pushing a hotfix for this tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM EDT that will require a few hours of downtime. We are reverting the fix for the "A Cold Wind From the Mountain" quest as part of this hotfix. If you currently have a quest that you cannot complete due to this issue, you will need to abandon the quest and pick it back up after the hotfix is live.

We will post our usual hotfix messaging, forum banner, and login screen announcement to let everyone know about the hotfix maintenance. Thank you for your patience!

I agree completely. If I was unable to do my job properly, or didn't care, or lacked the knowledge, or lacked the training, I'd be sacked and replaced, especially when vast sums of money and company reputation is at stake. No one wants anyone to be fired but if I'm paying for something but only getting half a product, then I expect someone, somewhere to be held accountable.

This is it. They need to be held accountable.

Anyone is responsible for the game performing so poorly, the plethora of glitches and disconnects, etc. Needs to be held accountable and properly dealt with, replaced if necessary.

I see no reason behind this game's poor performance other than incompetence.

So in another thread regarding Group Finder fix, Gina said that a fix was cooked up last Friday therfore did not make its way into the patch. Someone asked if ZOS could implement the fix today. I guess this is their response?

GIna confirmed in the thread about broken quests that the hotfix was for that. Weather BG group tool gets another pass tomorrow I don't know we've been told one way or another.

MMOs are a fickle animals, and stuff like that will always happen due to their sheer complexity. Replacing employees won't help.
I know what would help, though. Some nice apology gift to sweeten the unexpected downtime. A complimentary crown crate, maybe - a small, basically worthless thing, but it would greatly help to make people less annoyed.

The frustration regarding the Activity Finder queue issues is fair and understandable. We've had our Engineers prioritized on fixing them since Morrowind launched, and while we've identified and fixed some we still have work to do. We have a round of fixes that we're testing now and will push live with the next incremental patch. (The fixes we're testing are not ones we can roll out via a hotfix, as we can with tomorrow's quest issue fix.)

Jessica confirmed that the hotfix today will not address battleground issues.

    Totally agree.

I've come from GW2 and only left because I was getting bored after 3 years.

I can confirm I have NEVER had to wait for a maintenance period. The worst I've had is to log out in '30 seconds' to download the new patch.

The fact that people are saying maintenance is fine and normal... IT'S NOT. Maybe it was normal back in the dinosaur ages you were playing in but every modern game to date has virtually 0 downtime. ESO has so much potential to be a good game but it ruined by completely incompetence of the people running it!

The timeline is just not right. If these issues were Morrowind related, then the patch yesterday couldn't have been thoroughly tested before roll out. I understand a patch is needed out as soon as possible, however, if it creates issues that are so severe that a correction is released just one day after the patch, then that patch was not properly and thoroughly tested.

Other mmos are also complex, and their update and patching is no where near as tedious as Zenimax process is.

I only look at it as a financial, thing. I am paying for this product, I expect the product to be worth the money, or I want some sort of compensation for the trouble. That is only good business.

The time I play this game is I play overnight from 12:00 AM to roughly 6:00 AM Pacific Time.

So yes, every time the maintenance happens, I lose an entire day of play.

When it happens 2 days in a row like this, I lose 2 days.

Granted the timing of tonight's maintenance was better than the regular time, but no matter.

Maybe you can get by now I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm losing days here.

May I have all your stuff?
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Yesterday's patch broke some quests so today they are fixing what they broke. Of course the players suffer because of their incompetence.
