This was introduced with Morrowind. We've known about it since then on PC, but all we've gotten from Zeni is "we're looking into it."

I came across a resource where all the NPCs just stood there staring at me and did nothing but keep their buffs up lol not really having a problem with OP NPCs my problem is every NPC able to throw damn negates down, thats crazy!!!

Seems fixed on PC, will be fixed on console in about a month, maybe.

What was happening was the upgrades that give more advanced skills to NPCs were instead affecting all NPCs, effectively turning them all into Guards at level 2, Mage Guards at level 3, Menders at level 4, and Honor Guards at level 5, with the only differences carrying over being max health and mitigation. It was pretty chaotic. Eclipse spam already exists with just 3 casters of it in a resource; imagine 12 of those. Then remember that the NPCs possess all that is OP and broken in their eclipses, but none of the nerfs. That's right: unbreakable, 6 seconds long, and reflects just about everything, projectile or not. The NPCs also have negate which doesn't really need LoS to target you. Give them high damage, ranged DoTs, at least 5 of which are flying at you at any given time. But we're not done, because they also have a full heal than they can cast after about 10 seconds, so be quick about killing them! And just for good measure, they also has a disorient that never grants cc immunity and cannot be broken for the first .5 seconds after application. They'll take turns locking you down and breaking you out without granting cc immunity, amidst all of the above.

If you made a trial out of that ***, not even @Alcast could beat it. Well... then again, maybe stamina would be in demand for trials because much of that doesn't affect them nearly as much as it does poor mNBs.
