There are other items that have no collision on the bottom and assuming something works in a way that it was not designed to be used...

I pretty much have a recreation of major things in my house on the public test server. Yup, I know it gets wiped from time to time.. that's not the point. If I want to do a big project for my house.. I do it first on the PTS to make sure I like how it turned out before I commit resources to it. The PTS gives you 5500 crowns you can spend at will (it refills daily), and if you make a template character.. you get tons of crafting mats, all the housing plans, and all crafting motifs. It might take extra time to do it first on the PTS, but at least for me, it's time well spent.
If you had first purchased the Dwarven alter on the PTS, you would have known pretty quickly that they didn't function as you hoped they would.. and would have saved your money.
BTW, I also purchased the Dwarven alter on the PTS and just like you, flipped it over hoping it would be a building block type of item (I was trying to make a long, large staircase), only to find I fell through the smaller stairs part underneath.. that was pretty annoying. I hope ZOS gives you your money back.. it was an unfortunate mistake, but not something ZOS shouldn't be able to reverse.

Why do people that have no clue as to ZoS' stance on an issue feel compelled to comment? It would take two seconds to research and you would know that ZoS not only encourages creative use of items, but rewards it...
Since you made the comment I assume you will also not know that every single screenshot at the following link shows the use of at least one item in a manner not reasonably related to what the item is.

See above for "not designed to be used."
As to the rest, every item I made or purchased prior to this one worked fine in any config. I have found one other item (imperial shrine) that has the same problem. That one looks so unbelievably cool upside down that I solved the issue by sticking an upside down well into it (because you don't fall through the bottom of wells). But if I did the same for the huge Dwarven shrines, it would take so many filler pieces, it would defeat the purpose for which I bought the darn things in the first place.Ahnastashia wrote: »I'm really sorry to hear what happened OP. The only reason I use the crown store is the same reason I don't log into PTS. Time. If I had the time to test everything out, I would have the time to farm components and make the Dwarven shrines myself.
Interestingly, the people most able to afford buying whatever they want off the crown store are in most cases the people with the least time to be ZoS' beta testers.
I do appreciate the advice. Maybe I can get you to post your findings in the future, as you make them, in a thread? I would riddle you with insightfuls.
Maybe because solid things should be solid, the game provides the ability to rotate and place things in any orientation that one desires, and one has to pay to obtain it?ManwithBeard9 wrote: »Why is it ZOS's fault you were trying to use something out of its intended purpose?

I do understand time can be an issue. If there is a housing item you desperately need tested on the PTS, email me and I'll pop on over and see what I can do. But honestly, 10 minutes would have been all you needed (tops) to test the dwarven alter out. Pop into the PTS, purchase any house for 1 crown (does not impact your live crown amount), and then purchase your dwarven alter with PTS crowns.. flip over in new house... and poof... now you know that's not what you were really looking for.
