So I've farmed 5pcs necro, 2 pcs illambris, 3 pcs willpower, 2 julianos sharpened staves. Altmer.
I'm currently running lightning front bar inferno back bar.
Should I go dual lightning. Swap to maybe skoria monster set?
It seems all lightning builds are becoming meta.
Is illambris still BIS monster set? Should I drop 2pcs monster for another 5pcs bonus?
I'm still working on full divines. I'm all light armor atm and 210cp

First change to Morrowind, wrong spelling might put off people clicking the thread
IMO best PVE Monster set is still Ilambris
For PVP I would either go with Valkyn Skoria or Infernal Guardian
Try to max your undaunted to get the passive & go with 5 light 1 medium 1 heavy for the 6% increase in max stats (check undaunted passive) (that is for PVP)
Seen many people running lightining staffs, can't say much about it

seedubsrun✭✭✭✭For a pet build, what you have going is great. 5 necro, 3 willpower, Illambris, sharpened staves. If you have all light then your health may be a little lacking. Just make sure it's around 17.2k.
If you run lightning/inferno then Illambris is BiS since you can proc both lightning and flame attacks at the same time. I ran that for quite awhile with my pet sorc but have recently switched to dual lightning and Skoria set. Which is better is debatable and depends a lot on your playstyle and what skills you use. I like grothdar for dungeons too since I use a lot of AOE and will group enemies and then hit em with liquid lightning, wall of elements, grothdar proc.
Skoria is nice for all lightning and procs all the time. The extra health from the one piece isn't too helpful but now that I think about it you could probably do all light, witchmother's brew, skoria and still hit that health sweet spot while also getting really great sustain.
For my all lightning, I also like to do 5 necro+5 netch with either 1 kena or 1 grothdar/illambris/infernal guardian for the extra mag. I run a charged staff on my wall of elements bar with 75 into thaumaturge. Off balance procs constantly1 -

✭✭✭✭✭With a pet build in a proper group, I believe max DPS still comes from a Fire back bar with ilambris. I would definitely work on getting your undaunted for 5/1/1. The only reason people are going 7 light this patch is because it helps with sustain, but Sorcs really dont need that.
I typically only go double lighting solo, in 4 man, or on non-pet friendly fights in trials. In trials, i replace necro with netch.
Skoria becomes an interesting choice if going double lighting, although I still believe ilambris is more DPS, especially if running netch and force pulse. Netch will buff the lighting proc on ilambris, and you will still get occasional fire procs from force pulse. You also will have slightly more max magic which buffs pretty much everything. Skoria might be the better option at low CP, because you will need the extra health.
