Ashlander Huntmaster quests bugged

The quest are bugged. I get a quest for killing "X", I kill "X" and collect the trophy but it does not register the kill/trophy. I had to run around the area killing more creatures and doing those optional steps till the quest registered.
Another time, I had to loot the trophy twice, one from the target"X" I killed, and the other from the body of the same target but in a slightly different location, who I did not kill.
