This is very aggravating for me. For trial sets its easy enough to get gold jewelry. You beat the trial on Vet and voila...a piece of gold jewelry. Dungeons however have no such option, beat it on vet...purple jewelry, open a chest...purple jewelry. The ONLY way to get gold jewelry for those sets currently is the Cyrodiil golden vendor, thats all well and good, except for the fact HE CYCLES THROUGH THE SAME SETS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I see Viper, Silks of the Sun, Storm Knight, etc etc, there are maybe a dozen sets he offers...and to make things worse...its only one piece per week of one of those sets. Want some gold jewelry for Brands of the Imperium? well, you sir are out of luck, he will NEVER offer that jewelry, neither will he ever offer Mother's Sorrow, Bloodthorn, Ebon, Spinner's, or a multitude of other sets. If by some miracle he does offer one of those sets...you wont see it for YEARS because he only sells one per week. We BADLY need another way to get gold jewelry. Want to make it difficult? Fine, add an extra difficult HM for Vet dungeons, make it a 5% drop rate from HM Vet dungeon fights...make it a 1% drop rate from chests...whatever, just give us some other way to get gold jewelry for sets that aren't chosen by the powers that be. For overland sets, maybe make it so they only drop from dolmens at a 0.5% chance, or like Aetherial dust drop rate from chests. There is no reason I should be able to get gold jewelry for ANY set. I am cp760 and do you know I STILL don't have the achievement for wearing all gold gear? Oh, I have enough gold jewelry and gear to get the achievement whenever I want, but it would require me to equip things that just don't go with my build. As it stands, I can NEVER get that achievement with my current gear on my tank because I am wearing one overland set and one dungeon set...neither of which have ever had the jewelry show up at the golden vendor in Cyrodiil.

We just need a system to upgrade jewelry. Make it require some BoE drop from the end boss of Vet Trials.

I thought of something similar the other day, remove purple jewelry from master chests (after all there are dolmens for that) and replace (albeit with a far lower drop chance) with gold jewelry, overland master chests could have a small chance of dropping gold jewelry from overland sets from that zone and dungeon master chests have a small chance of dropping gold jewelry that relates to sets from that particular dungeon.

I have to agree though the golden vendor is almost laughable at the repeats that come around, either the loot table is broke or only very few items are added to it.

This is not a viable solution for DUNGEON and OVERLAND sets. Believe it or not, there are people who don't care to run trials. Why should they have to run a trial to get gold jewelry from a DUNGEON or OVERLAND set? That makes no sense whatsoever. For instance, I rarely run trials because every time I do I am forced to run some meta set I don't want to run. I enjoy the trials...I just don't enjoy being pigeonholed in my builds because of the meta. I am free of that in ANY other content in the game, so therefore, I enjoy any other content in the game more than trials. I understand that x build is the best for y content....but whats the point if I don't have fun playing x build? There are meta builds I enjoy playing, but in general I like to play MY builds...and that excludes me from trials for the most part.

I agree, there needs to be a better way to get the gold jewelry other than from the gold vendor - I am pvp'er - I don't do trials and I am not going to. The gold vendor happens once a week - could take years to get what I want? This is just stupid.

Well, sir, you might be in luck ...

The rumor mill is that Adhazabi Aba-Daro the Golden will be offering all the gold overland sets during the Midyear Mayhem PvP event.

Granted, it doesn't include dungeon, trial, or DLC jewelry ... but it's a nice gesture by ZOS if the rumor does happen to be true.

    Midyear Mayhem is from 7/22 - 7/31 ...

They need to either make jewelry so we can upgrade it or introduce jewelry crafting...or a combo of both! If we can craft sets, we should be able to make jewelry for those sets. If we find set jewelry, we should be able to upgrade it, just like the armor and weapons.

The golden vendor is virtually worthless though, he is available for only 2 days per week and only offers one set at a time...and not even all jewelry, its either rings or neck, but never both. Even if it were true(I have my doubts) it would not significantly increase availability over a one week period. god forbid you miss the week he actually offers something you want...you have to wait 6 months for it to come around again. Meanwhile....people who run trials get their sets without issue(this is good, I am happy for them). In fact, they get them so often they vendor gold jewelry to NPC vendors. Its not much to ask that those who dont run trials for whatever reason still have reasonable access to gold jewelry.

You could get in the top 2% and hope you get something good.

Nah they just need to stick jewellery upgrading in blacksmithing and bring a new gold temper or even uses alloys as it is technically metal, sorted.

I think the golden has a broken loot table... well, depending. I don't know what it is supposed to look like, but as far as I can tell almost all of the jewelry she sells is from trials pre-1T. That's why we get BoP sets like the Worm and Viper mixed with BoE sets like Neceopotence. With the current "loot table" of the golden, I don't ever expect a set like Martial Knowlegde or Bone Pirate to show up. In fact, I think we've seen all the sets that there are to see at this point. I'd like to say that this isn't WAI, but you can never tell with ZOS.

Apparently you didn't read the part where it would be a Bind on Equip drop, meaning anyone could buy them from guild traders.

Plus, if you're that against meta builds, why on earth would you spend money to upgrade to gold jewelry anyway?

So you are saying, that because a SMALL segment of players play vet trials they should have access to the only "temper" available for upgrading jewelry that DOESN'T COME FROM TRIALS? Forcing those who don't run trials to buy from those that do to be able to upgrade jewelry that has nothing to do with trials? Might as well say only those people that run trials matter. I hate to break it to you, but this game isn't all about trials. I get that you enjoy trials and may run them 24/7. Good for you...but just because you run trials doesn't mean you should have access to the only way to upgrade non-trial jewelry...it makes no sense at all. That's like me saying that the only way to get gold trial jewelry should be from a temper that drops from HM vet dungeons that must be duo-ed. Its not a solution to hide even more stuff than already exists behind a trial-wall. You are more concerned about maintaining your gold-jewelry monopoly than you are about fixing the problem.

It's not about locking things behind a trial wall? I'm sorry but if he wants to complete end-game vet trials then why shouldn't he gain the appropriate loot? Let's be honest rng is shocking in this game.. you can't expect people to farm over and over again for one item they have a minuscule chance of getting. I honestly believe Zos needs to create more ways for people to get access to end game gear purely so they can complete the end game content. I think the OP has an excellent point.

Sadly this is not accurate, only jewelry from PvP sets (frasalla, vicious death, cyrodiil ward, potentates, etc) are being sold during the event. No overland jewelry, nor dungeon jewelry usually available there (like ebon, sun, red mountain, viper, etc).

And since these sets are really only useful in PvP, as they provide buffs and debuffs against enemy players, not being able to get them is not really a big deal.

    Peace.

Don't take it the wrong way, I know that having some shiny trinkets is nice, but if you're not interested in end game content, the kind of content that requires meta builds and theorycrafting to squeeze that extra deeps out of the rotation, gold jewelry is virtually worthless, as the bonuses they provide in respect to purple or even blue, are so tiny that they only really matter in a min-max situation, where all the bonuses are boosted by all the buffs and effects, while other just give pretty much the same effects.

    So simple, yet perfect.

Even better would be to make the material BoE. Running end game content in ESO would no longer be a massive net Gold loss and instead revive the frightening small end game community we have left.
The amount of end game players running Vet Trials has decreased tremendously since the removal of BoE gear in Vet trials and now.

They just need to add the One Tamerial Sets to the list of sets that come up on the vendor.

PVP players have to play PVE to farm gear, since they can't craft jewerly. PVE players should also be encouraged to PVP as well.

Allowing Jewerly crafting would solve both issues.

edit: If not, then kind of nice to be able to get gold pve jewelry in some fashion. Playing some pvp or buying them off of a pvp player isn't that big a deal.

And if you have the gold jewelry of some other set, put it on for the achievement if it matters that much to you to complain, then take it off, otherwise that's not really a valid issue.
