In the sense of using two sets and a monster set 1 bar would be one set and the other bar another.
Switching bars grants the 5 pc bonus of that set but you lose the other.
Is it worth doing this? I imagine it depends on the sets.
Or is it better to just go with a solid 5 pc bonus set with agility jewellery or maybe a 4 pc set.

Dracindo✭✭✭✭✭There are weapons (eg Maelstrom bow) that give provide an awesome effect and don't require any second piece. If you can get your hands on a weapon like that, and the effect is awesome, I think it's worth losing on effect over the other.0 -

For sets like clever alch and wyrd tree its good to go back bar. For sets like necro and juli it's not.1 -
Bladerunner1✭✭✭✭Aside from Clever Alchemist, there are other sets available that can give a bonus effect that lasts 10 seconds, like Briarheart or Ravager, where the buff durations can overlap as you swap bars and proc the sets. I suppose it also depends on whether you're in PVP or PVE.
I don't know if this works with War Machine, but it seems like it should. Just swap back to the bar with the war machine weapon when casting the ultimate.1
