I don't get home until 6:30pm (4:30 EDT). I was going to buy the home last night but simply forgot, am I about to miss out on buying this home by half an hour?
It depends on whether you mean AM or PM when you say 4:30 EDT. If it's 4:30 AM, you're good, you haven't missed your chance. If it's 4:30 PM, what's it like in the middle of the Atlantic? Also you're screwed.
/boo ZOS for making something like this Crown Store only. I know there's probably a thread full of comments from disgruntled players like me, but I feel this is worth expressing again.
It's a big kick in the face to loyal TES fans who prefer to earn exclusive content via gameplay and refuse to directly pay for it with cash.
If you only want the furniture, just wait some months then. As soon as i get my grabby little paws on the new item recipes, i'll offer them for reasonable prices. Others will do the same, I think.
The problem are the very low drop rates. Until now I only got the recipe for the small sotha sil rug (because I bought it from a shop). Ingame on Vvardenfell I found 3 purple recipes until now (looting every container possible), but not even 1 of them was a new one (which is crap, honestly - on Vvardenfell you should only find the new recipes and maybe the old dunmer/argonian recipes; drop rates are low enough).
Only the most greedy people buy those recipes right after being introduced. That's why recipes and furniture are that expensive atm. Things will get back to normal as soon as more people offer the same furniture. Just wait, don't buy overly expensive furniture, and prices will drop!
