I LOVE Tel Galen

I love this new expansion and I'm so excited to get my new Tel Galen home! MUSHROOM house ftw. My wife also thought it was super awesome. I went ahead and bought the furnished home. I think some of their furniture placements were odd, but for the most part they did a great job.

I haven't played with housing until now. One bummer... I have a bed in my room but I can't lay on it. There is no option to lay on the bed when I get near it. What sorcery is this?! Can't lay on my own bed?! Weird.

Also about my upstairs room... I wish it was a bit bigger, but I'm still pleased with it. Definitely need work with the lighting. I didn't like how dark it was. I definitely see it as more of a "private office" rather than a room where I would host a party or something.

I don't really RP or whatever, but this house is awesome. I totally dig it. I also really like having a house in Vvardenfell in general. It would also be cool to have a small house in Balmora perhaps. Maybe that's a thing, but I'm not sure.

tl;dr
1. Love the new house!
2. Why can't I lay down in my bed?
3. Be nice if the upstairs was bigger
4. I also want a house in Balmora

I love that you did a TL;DR and that you also did it in a super awesome way.

I agree with most of what you said as well, I got Tel Galen and love it although saddened the interior is so small. The expansion is awesome and I really feel odd when I leave Vvardenfel now, I've truly made it my home.

Laying down in beds may come (as it took a couple of years for seating) but we will have to wait. If the beds are open top we can at least use /sleep on them.

Yes, just use the chat window command /sleep while you are on top of the bed. Just make sure you choose a nice angle and rest that head on the fluffy pillows. Just hope the mushroom spores don't enter your lungs :D

I love my mushroom tower too! It's a bit small, agreed, but it's very cosy inside and there was still enough room for me and a few friends to have a daily reward box opening party in there. (We all got at least one motif each!)

I've been sticking extra mushrooms on the outside. :)
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I find /playdead a more fitting sleeping position.

It's too late: the spores are in your blood now, influencing you to enjoy the tower. All hail the tower! :o

I've been playing around with the interior, and the main chamber is bigger than it seems. I've partitioned off areas for a sitting space, dining area, library, and office area, and that's not including the three main floor rooms and upper level. It's not as big as, say, Hunding's Palatial Hall, but it gets the job done.

Welcome to housing, Alexdacrazy! Glad you found something that suits you! :)
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"
