I had to take time off from the game and am just coming back so I'm curious about which armor sets are considered viable choices in pve/pvp. Haven't really been able to find info on them and would like a multitude of opinions to give me a good idea on whats what. Thanks!

The crafted sets are super lacklustre, War Maiden and Warrior Poet seem to doing well so far, Defiler is a bit of mixed bag in terms of practical use. That's all I can give unfortunately

Shacklebreaker is a really good crafted set for pvp on a number of classes (magickaDK, staminaNB, magickaSorc and pretty much everything else can make some use of it)

I can only speak from magicka DPS side, but both War Maiden and Master Architect are great (BiS on certain builds).

I looked at it and shrugged it off. Seemed like a poor Pelinal's Aptitude paired set that couldn't work at all.

Assassin's Guile is a pretty unique set and it can be very strong. More Info in spoiler.
The set that adds 4 seconds to the duration of your poisons. Now the set pieces are pretty bad, your basically getting 1 set bonus of weapon critical and weapon damage or vice versa for magicka. Honestly this set should be buffed and the split bonuses should be split like molag kena. What im getting at is this set is missing 1 set bonus.

Now to the set itself. It is very strong considering you can add 4 seconds to double/triple effect poisons. For example, a poison that deals 2 sources of damage with heals for 1.6/2.4 seconds with a resource cost increase for 4 seconds is now much more valuable since each duration is increased by 4 seconds. This makes the damage and healing return actually pretty remarkable. Not to mention it had the added resource cost increase duration.

Im worried people may catch on to the value this set brings with certain poison combinations.... so try to keep it on the down low. You could make duel resource poisons last 10.4 seconds but im not the mean xD
