Tel Galen. From the point of view of someone who likes the home.

The Telvanni are isolationist, Xenophobic, hermetic wizard lords. So why would their homes not reflect that? So many people have shared a lot of opinions about the homestead referring to its size and styling as the most negative aspects. But both of those are qualities I enjoy about my new home.

Lets start with size.
What has been one of the number one complaint about the homes so far?
That there is not nearly enough furnishing slots to fill them up properly and make the homes full.

With a smaller home I'm able to utilize my 700 slots to make the place filled with bits and bobbles. Being my wizards home having every little scroll, quill, gem, and vial is important. And with a cramped claustrophobic space like Tel Galen I'm able to accomplish what I Coulden't in the larger notable homes.

And as for the style.
What is one thing any devoted scholar of the arcane desires more then anything? Especially Telvanni?
NO INTERRUPTIONS!!!!

With a hideous fungal monstrosity to reside in only the most idiotic would step foot on my door step. Or at least the ones I pay to deliver my reagents.

Anyway I digress the point of the tower is to have a sanctuary to preform my works in peace and isolation. Having tight disorganized quarters that repel any would be disruptions is the ideal. And the Tel Galen tower fits the need.

So why any mer would complain that its to small or not pretty enough is beyond this wizard.

I thought it added a diverse, different space to homesteading that was entirely appropriate to lore, and if people didn't like it they could simply shut up and not buy it...lol.

Secondly, everyone who wrote a post about how horribly cramped it was should take a quick moment to look around the basement they're sitting in. Is it more spacious than the home?? Seriously though, it isn't that cramped. It's what? Four large rooms and a gigantic central space? In a world without bathrooms, five rooms seems fine.

I thought it was cool. if I'd designed it I would have maybe added just a little more...I thought it needed an attic/rooftop deck that provided some viewing space...but overall I found it far cooler than most of the manors. But again, there are over forty homes...pick the one(s) you like. I wanted to build an outdoor pirate's cove, so Grand Topal made more sense.

It's a *** off to many of us who were waiting to buy our own telvanni towers reminiscent to the original. Instead we get towers that make us feel uncomfortable to look at. It is likely they did this so that people won't think telvanni towers resemble bosmer pods when in reality bosmer pods resemble telvanni towers. Just like you have a right to be satisfied we have a right to be dissapointed after a long wait and then them delivering that "thing" lol

Perhaps the telvanni towers of tes 3 are more a product of limited technology and the current ones we have are more what the towers were envisioned to be? Just a thought.

And I highly doubt when creating the towers they designers thought to themselves "f u players we want you to hate this"

And again its suppose to make you uncomfortable to look at! Make you want to avoid it at all costs. Make your squirm and gag at the thought. To repel would be nuisances

I have to admit I bought it as a challenge to myself. It's well on it's way to not even remotely resembling a flesh tower on the inside. Now, if we could only get a few more options when it comes to ground cover and ivy I would be happy.

Haha, I thought I was the only one to like it.

I truely appreciate the brave and provokative art style, that they chose. Telvanni aren't fairy tale wisards with purely noble deeds. The enermous power and contradictory aims are well reflected in their homes.

I would love to have it for my bloodmage-thief, perfect isolated weird home for her.

Exactly! They preform profane and dangerous magic. They don't grow trees and mushrooms like a bosmer would. With ritual and chant that goes with the grain of nature.

They bend, twist and corrupt the natural order to their desires. And usually that looks pretty wretched and "ugly"
