I was switching characters because I had to make some armor and things. I hadn't even played for a hour yet. Probably more like half an hour.

Is this being worked on?

If you're on PC, I play windowed mode. Whenever I get that never-ending loading screen, I just X out on the top right and launch the game again. I also have the intro cinematic turned off so I can get back on faster.

Maybe there should be a button in the loading screen to restart the game.

    Yeah, it's called Alt-F4.

Restarting usually helps....loading screens tend to get longer and longer for me after some hours....restarting helps there as well....best to take a break and grab a cool beer

Yup! Here is some music to go with it.

Would it be fun if every time infinite loading screen happens, that song start to play?

You need to close the game, log in, choose a different character, log out, choose the character wth the infinite loading screen = fixed

Or play in full screen and just minimize the game by hitting window key or alt + escape.

Where was the character located when you logged off? If it's a high population zone (like Rawl'kha), then there is a long queue to get in (which will eventually result in a login error if you don't get in).

There's actually an area in Elden Root, Grahtwood, where if you are on the second floor of the tree, and near the blacksmithing station, you'll get a long load screen if you walk near it at a certain angle. It's been like this on PS4-NA for months now, and is still causes long load screens to this very day. It doesn't matter if the area is packed with people, or if there are hardly any people there. It's just something about that certain area, that causes load screens and hiccups. At 1 point that certain area would cause an immediate blue screen, if there the zone was packed with people. Resulting in a restart and hope that you can move your character away from that area, before you load screen and crash again.

It is said Ch4mpTW goes to that same blacksmithing station at the same angle every day to check if the issue is still there. Because - what can a man do against his own will.
