I could buy the merchant or banker for 5k if they'd also train my horse skills while I have this large bounty and to-be-killed-on-sight-by-guard status. Without this feature it's a waste of crowns yeah :).

Exactly the reason I didn't get her. i still have to find a merchant in town to do repairs. The banker is more convenient and I got him. There's merchants in every town but banks are only in certain big cities. He looks terrible in his purple Imperial pajamas, but whatever, it gets the job done.

No I don't search forums for other posts and I also don't like to put eveything under 1 forum post, because it makes the issue look irrelevant, the more of these complaints you have on one page the more valid it appears. More people, different people saying the same thing, not hidden away.

So, you dont want to see what others in the forums think, just what you have to say?

ZoS can help you with that tho.

Well it's a good thing we can't repair with her, it at least gives the massive grinders, either in skyreach or any other places, to once in a while leave the freaking place alone while they go repair. :P Gotta work a bit your ass to get some stuff. :) To be honest, you sell way much more than you repair, i get my bags fulled way much more than my stuff needs to be repaired, exempt, when i grind or whipe lots of times in dungeons and trials, but there, if we could repair, people wouldn't force themselved to stay alive since they could repair on spot, damn vMA would be so fun to do with a merchant to repair when i used to try that place, while being at that, let's whine there about the banker not giving the option to use trade guilds menu like the banker in town. ;)

And when i bought mine, i wondered BEFORE buying it if we could repair, so i either tried someone's merchant or simply asked someone who had it, no to get the surprise, to assume it repairs, is, a bit stupid, like any otehr sotuations in life, when you assume, well, like an old Project Manager already told me at an old job, « Never Assume, because it makes an ASS out of U and ME. », something like that. :)

Doesnt it sell repair kits? Same thing as repairing..

The Crown Store merchant doesn't sell anything. You can sell items to it, and that is all. You cannot buy repair kits or anything else.

I find the merchant super valuable to have. Yeah, I'd love it if I could repair things with her, or buy stuff off her, but to be honest, just being able to sell off some of the junk I pick up when I'm overloaded is super wonderful. So I don't really have too much of a complaint.

I figure if I need to repair, at least that gives me a reason to find a wandering merchant or to head back to town. Otherwise, I'd probably have no need to go to town ever (or mostly).
    Clueless, but willing to learn.

Doing master writs tend to give repair kits as reward. Since I only use them then grinding or in dungeons they tend to pile up.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

When my husband and I duo dungeons, he pulls out his banker and I pull out my merchant.

And then what?? Please describe. Is there a hot shower of gold and surplus inventory? Don't leave us hanging...we need details!

Nope, it's just cosmetic reskins. There was a quoted ZOS post floating around about it (sorry I don't have the quote on hand).

You know, you don't have to buy it but the opportunity is there. Just because you do not like it does not mean it shouldn't exist.

For the price your geting, she's not worth it.

And he has a point. Your paying 5000 crowns for worse functionality.

    Fanboy: You is one.

Well I think she's worth it, guess people can have differing opinions.

Love it when people start waving 'Fanboi' insults around when they have an alternate opinion....

Don't worry, this guy literally calls anyone who disagrees with his opinion a fan boy :D it's pretty amusing

(I think the merchant and banker are terrible, just gonna state that so I don't get called a fan boy too, god forbid)

I find her really valuable when I'm doing Dolmen runs. After a short bit, I get overloaded with stuff and then call her out, sell most of the junk (like trash and most of the jewelry I can't use), and then I have tons of space left over to get more junk.

There is an upside. I'm a long time owner of the merchant and it's made my toons millions. I like to explore and because I have the merchant I can sell the things I pick up when my inventory is full.

I'm not trying to discount your point, just commenting on the sole purpose of the merchant.

what is more annoying to me is that she isnt available in PvP areas? Why not? I mean, its not like you get much loot in PvP areas anyway(aside from IC). The vast majority of players(myself included) do not have her out all the time, only when they need to clear their inventory, so its not like having acces in cyro would contribute to lag....and if it did...just put an auto timer on her of 2 minutes or something.

I'm betting on lag and I'm with them on this one. Zergs already lag the server out, can you imagine how much worse it'd be if game basically had to render double or triple as many people (if they all had both merchant and banker)? Even if it's 2 minutes it's still unnecessary lag contribution which, given they've even removed poor deer from Cyrodiil...yeah.

It would be nice if you could spend skyshards or something and unlock upgrades for them.
They are worth the money tho for what they do for me personally. I'm a lazy casual and hate running every 5 minutes to empty BaG space.

The ESO member ship with double space is great also. I don't have a ton of time to play so I definitely don't like running to the bank and what not.

Actually the devs on most games including this one will tell you that having multiple threads on the subject makes it harder to gather together any positive feedback suggestions and so in most cases they either completely ignore duplicate postings or merge them in to a single thread anyway. You are actually being the opposite of helpful, because with a SINGLE thread they can bookmark it, and then go through all of the productive and constructive criticism posts in a single thread (Not "I don't like this" which offers no solutions, but rather "Maybe this could work better" which people can comment on whether it would work or not and a valuable discussion should be had). This only makes them working on it less likely, or at least makes it less likely that it will be resolved to your satisfaction because it splits the conversation and makes it difficult to follow up on.

I don't care "what the dev's say". You have assumed what goes on in the developers daily flow and personal preferences to boot. Your fantasies about the best way of doing things is irrelevant to me. It's all to common to consolidate threads into one with a big self-important "logical"statement as to why, only to find the thread being hidden under a rock in the corner of the forums and nothing being done about it, there are countless examples of this in the gaming community go read some other game forums where this is done ... no, I will still post my number and make my point clear thanks ... I decline your ... advice.

The reason you can't repair with her is because she would make Trials and Dungeons cheese by allowing repairs mid-way through... as for Cyrodil - well, it's a warzone - most merchants and bankers probably don't want to hang out there.

Yeah sucks the bank vendor has no access to guild bank or guild store either, but it seems to have more profit than the merchant atm though.
