Nuzhimeh - very disappointing

So you spend 5000 crowns on a travelling merchant NPC. She doesn't repair armor or even sell repair kits, which basically means you have to go back to town anyway to sell and repair as by the time your bags are full your armor needs to be repaired anyway ... so I ask myself the question, why would one bother buying a merchant for 5000 crowns when you have to go back to town to repair and may as well just sell while you're there? and then the answer comes to me ... you wouldn't. What a waste of money.

Dev's make your store purchases useful please, please fix the merchant to be a bit more useful than a follow-round NPC.

You have completely missed the point, but the way you have responded indicates you just like to create discredit to valid points.

The problem I have is no where does it state that you cannot repair at the merchant, every other NPC in the game that is called a "merchant" repairs armor. It's misleading and utterly worthless.

No I don't search forums for other posts and I also don't like to put eveything under 1 forum post, because it makes the issue look irrelevant, the more of these complaints you have on one page the more valid it appears. More people, different people saying the same thing, not hidden away.

I would have said the same until I found out it's much cheaper to stock up hundreds of repair kits from guild traders, just like soul gems. So even if she did do those things there's already cheaper and almost just as convenient options

As a rule, google before you spend 5000 crowns
I find the merchant very useful, honestly you don't have to repair that often.

Also, I have about 2000 grand repair kits in the bank from doing writs....

Open a ticket and ask for a crown refund. They have done this for other players, but from my understanding it is a one time refund and wont be done again for another item. They could avoid the man hours involved by changing the description.

Personally, I bought the banker immediately and waited almost a year on the merchant. I honestly just wanted it for my house, but it has proven to me that it was worth buying. It may not save me as much time as the banker does, but seconds add up to minutes and minutes add up to hours faster than you think.

The assistants have been available for a while, but the new players are, well, ... new ! And there are tons of new players right now because of... Morrowind !

I don't think there's a point in explaining whether the merchant and the banker are "worth it" or not. People's opinions may vary. But I'm still disappointed that ZOS hasn't bothered updating the banker's and the merchant's description, so that people decide to buy (or not to buy) based on fair, accurate and complete information. The description to this day are still lacking in terms of clearly stating what these assistants don't do as compared to every standard merchant / banker NPC in the game.

Their functionality is one thing and there can certainly be made valid arguments why they just give access to your bank only and why you can only sell to them. The decisive point for me though is the price tag. 5,000 crowns each is the cost of 2 DLC. That's way overpriced for what they do.

The reasons the Assistant offer a "reduced" service is to not make "going back to town" obselete and useless. The devs still want to have players using the repair function in towns, having to go in the Town Banks, to keep those places full of life and social interaction possible.Also repairs kits need to be useful.

I agree that it could be more clear that the Assistant doesn't offer REPAIR services and the banker doesn't offer Guild bank access. So before to purchase it, you know what you are doing.
Personaly, I find them a time saver and a inventory management great help. I purchased the merchant, my boyfriend got the banker, and we find their services a real help as it is.

I don't have one nor have I ever considered getting one - I just bounce things off friends if I have to - but while you can argue whether or not they should have full functionality and whether or not they're worth it without it...the description doesn't say anything about no repairs, does it? That IS misleading and you can't argue that.

The "l2google" argument is irrelevant. Every single merchant in the game repairs your armor. There's a merchant npc sold in crown store. Seems kind of intuitive to assume that it'd repair as well given the game doesn't tell you otherwise.

It's not technically fraud since nowhere did they specifically state it does repair but honestly...it's a pretty shady practice that I don't approve of.

I like the merchant. I find it very useful to be able to make space in my bags while out adventuring. When my husband and I duo dungeons, he pulls out his banker and I pull out my merchant. They are particularly useful on low level characters who haven't yet maxed out their inventory.

Repairs would be handy, but repair kits can be purchased in advance. I do agree that the banker could use more functionality. And the fence is useless, given his crappy exchange rate. (At least one doesn't have to pay for that guy).

Well it's a good thing we can't repair with her, it at least gives the massive grinders, either in skyreach or any other places, to once in a while leave the freaking place alone while they go repair. :P Gotta work a bit your ass to get some stuff.

To be honest, you sell way much more than you repair, i get my bags fulled way much more than my stuff needs to be repaired, exempt, when i grind or whipe lots of times in dungeons and trials, but there, if we could repair, people wouldn't force themselved to stay alive since they could repair on spot, damn vMA would be so fun to do with a merchant to repair when i used to try that place, while being at that, let's whine there about the banker not giving the option to use trade guilds menu like the banker in town.

And when i bought mine, i wondered BEFORE buying it if we could repair, so i either tried someone's merchant or simply asked someone who had it, no to get the surprise, to assume it repairs, is, a bit stupid, like any otehr sotuations in life, when you assume, well, like an old Project Manager already told me at an old job, « Never Assume, because it makes an ASS out of U and ME. », something like that.

Starting on March 31 st, we'll be welcoming two additional assistants to Tamriel: Tythis Andromo the Banker and Nuzhimeh the Merchant. As his title suggests, Tythis is a banker that can be summoned whenever you or your group members need him to hold onto items or gold through your personal bank. Nuzhimeh will purchase anything that you or even your group offer to her. In addition to being incredibly convenient, Nuzhimeh will buy any non-stolen item, and neither will take any sort of cut when you or your group members use their services, so there are many profits to reap!

Look before you buy I would say and yes I have both and knew their limitations when I bought them

The banker's actually kinda useful. If you want to interact with your guild store, you need to head to a real bank, but if you're just dumping stuff into your bank before logging, he delivers.

The smuggler is straight up garbage. The only time I'd ever consider using her is if I had a bounty, couldn't port out (for some reason), and wanted to fence everything before turning myself in. But, that's an "if" that I've never encountered to date.

The merchant is useful only if you're grinding. That's it. She's not worthless like the smuggler, but I really don't think she's worth the money.

Actually the devs on most games including this one will tell you that having multiple threads on the subject makes it harder to gather together any positive feedback suggestions and so in most cases they either completely ignore duplicate postings or merge them in to a single thread anyway. You are actually being the opposite of helpful, because with a SINGLE thread they can bookmark it, and then go through all of the productive and constructive criticism posts in a single thread (Not "I don't like this" which offers no solutions, but rather "Maybe this could work better" which people can comment on whether it would work or not and a valuable discussion should be had). This only makes them working on it less likely, or at least makes it less likely that it will be resolved to your satisfaction because it splits the conversation and makes it difficult to follow up on.
