Just got the vampire bite yesterday and completed the quest line also.

As per the tooltip I assumed that I will be getting 60% of my heatlh during this spell's channel.

Is this right ?

Because I did not get that much health when I casted this spell.

Anyone noticed this ?

Not quite. It's your "missing" health. So if you started it at 50% health, you'd get 10% of your total health back the first time it ticked, then... I think 8% and finally 6.something%. I don't really want to do the calculations for how much it would tick each time.

It's honestly not a particularly good ability. Also, you don't need to slot it to advance Vampire. That advances along with total XP earned. It does not care about your equipped abilities (like all World skill lines).

The big thing for Vampires are the passives, though Batswarm is nice.

You have 20000 total health. You activate the skill when you have 10000 health. You are missing 10000 health. First tick is 20% of 10000, which is 2000. Now you have 12000, so you're only missing 8000. 20% of that is 1600. Last tick, you have 13600 health, so you're missing 6400 health. 20% of that is 1280. So you finish off with 14880. A total gain of 4880 heath overy 3 seconds. Roughly 25% of your total health back.

This is assuming activation at 50% health, with a 20k health pool. Activiating the skill earlier, having a smaller pool, and also considering base health regen will all make this skill heal even less.

    It's just math.

I'd say outside of max. HP builds, the healing amount of that spell isn't really strong.
Most will use it for ulti generation I guess( morphed)

Unless they have changed it, the healing is based on your health remaining at the moment you decided to cast for all ticks.

So, casting it at 50% HP remaining with a maximum of 20k HP means you'll restore 0.2 * (20k - 10k) = 2000 HP on all 3 ticks, regardless of your health past the initial tick.

Its not a bad skill, more useful for very high hp builds.

But its got a good morph for ult gen and does cc through roll which can be annoying.

The first heal that it gives stays constant for each tick.
