I wouldn't even need them removed from inventory... I'd just be happy being able to access it. Some of the disguises are unique or heavy in roleplay possibilities.Living vicariously through my characters.

Agree with this. My Costumes tab is full enough as it is. A separate Disguise tab would be much better for me. For progression's sake, I think they should only be unlocked in this tab once the quest is completed, not whenever you get the disguise.1 -

Disagree. One mechanic of such quests is that when you are found out, you lose the disguise and have to reacquire it. You could hold off putting into collections until you complete the quest and it could be one of the rewards, but what about alts? They would have the costume always available, breaking the mechanic again.0 -

I think Zos just has not decided to add them for whatever reason. They could not be added with costumes since they are coded into a different category but I do not think that is the reason.0 -

hmhmmhmm. Good point, they'ed have to go in and change the code to check to see if it's unlocked already, which for some quests would mean you'd be able to skip small parts.
But perhaps this could be a QoL change in the future? some things would indeed need to be shifted around.0 -

And then if they make slight variations of the disguise as a costume, you'll have threads complaining that the disguise was better.

Step 3: Nothing, that's it, it's done. Put it on, dye it, /danceredguard on tables while wearing it, whatever.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.

Honestly, I don't care what they call it....as long as there's a way to dye it, suppress the dressing animation every time I load or wayshrine somewhere, and don't have to worry about losing it if I accidentally attract unwanted attention from a NPC from the questline using the disguise (which results in one losing the disguise, and then having to re-acquire it).
I love the Abah's Watch servants outfit...but the colours don't really fit my character. Granted, I could craft it...but have you seen what happens when you equip a belt? It sticks out of the bloody sash. Who in their right mind thought "oh hey....this costume has a sash as part of the chest. Let's make a horrid belt that stands out like the proverbial dogs bollocks when equipped".
