✭You need to have a skill from soul magic on your bar for it to level up, such as Soul Trap. You don't have to use it, just have it on your bar. I hope this helps!0 -

✭✭✭✭✭That's not correct about slotting a Soul Magic skill, at all.
Soul Magic levels each main quest you do with the Prophet in the Harborage. You used to unlock those quests ever so many levels, now you can do them back to back since OneTam.Xbox One | EU | EP

I assume You started in Vvardenfell and that's main reason why You dont level up that skill line simply because You skipped out whole introduction to main story. With moment You'll start to do Harborage quests Soul Magic skill line will start to progress.There's nothing in soul magic that you need anyway tbh...useless skill line!
Ultimate in that skill line is very good if properly used.

✭Leveling Soul Trap Skill line
Get empty Soul Gems.
Equip the Soul Trap Skill.
Go to the Dolmen closest to Vulkhel Guard.
Use only the Soul Trap Skill as the others kill the mobs.
Your Soul Gems get filled, and the Skill line goes up quick.
Why the Dolmen closest to Vulkhel Guard? There is always a lot of players here, and the mobs die quick.Si vis pacem, para bellum0 -

I stand corrected, in my defense its a useless skill line that I never bothered with. Figured it was like the rest...it has no use now and should be reworked.0
