Install Morrowind from Physical CE

Long story short: I'm out of town, my physical Morrowind Collector's Edition arrived (got it for $29.99 because Amazon listed it with the wrong price), and I'd like to have my wife install it before I get back in town.

ESO was originally installed digitally (no disc). Now I've got a Morrowind disc. The wife popped it in but said it only took a couple of minutes to install (which can't be right).

Can anyone give me a quick walk-through of the install steps? Does she need to start the game, enter a code, download further updates, etc.?

I just don't want to get home and have to wait 5 hours for an update to download/install.

Thanks!

Have her start ESO and perform the update even without entering the code. It took me about 1.5hrs on release day. You will download all patches and Morrowind but Morrowind will not be active unless it recognized the disk ......

I also purchased the physical CE, the XB1 would not accept my code but I did not try inserting the disk. Said it was an invalid code. So I logged into my ESO account online and added the code there to apply it to my account. At the next login I had access to Morrowind and all the digital items ......

The game is the same game. If you had it installed your only updating the base game.

Depending on your ISP it takes a few minutes

Morrowind itself is an add-on to ESo in terms of how it's listed on Xbox one.

Some discs came with a code, if that's the case, be sure to enter the code on Xbox store under the account as it's not shareable so if you and the wife want to play, one of you needs to purchase the digital upgrade Separately IF your game has a code card included as the disc would then be the base game only.

In my experience, most Xbox one discs are only the base game and the dlc is a code but some retailers have the drm on the disc absent of a code.

In short....read the items in your box as the instructions are included with a code
