Creation Club for ESO

I would love for our community to come together and make add-ons for console players!
Also would be cool for us to make our own armor that is lore friendly for ESO.

What do you guys think? I know people are mad about Mods being paid for but if you actually go to the site and read about it Mods arent being replaced.

Do you think us Console players should also have add-ons?........even if we have to pay for them through credits.......not crowns lol.

The issue is getting Sony and Microsoft to agree the add-ons.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but what website are you referring to? I don't see anything on the ESO site about add-ons for consoles or paid mods. The only new announcement is the two DLCs and they don't say anything about community content.

This is for Skyrim and Fallout only, not ESO. But it's a nice thought.
Been there, got the Molag Bal polymorph.

I imagine it would be much easier to do when the addons are curated by Bethesda, like the Creation Club content will be. But still, this is an MMO, so they have to be extra careful.

I honestly don't mind Creation Club, I want to see high quality content being produced for Skyrim again considering we only got three DLCs.

Considering Xbox already supports mods for other games.....would it not be that ZeniMax needs to get on board with offering support for consoles?

Microsoft already allows mods with other Bethesda games.

Sony is where you might run into trouble. They only allow really simple mods.

I am thinking this is what is gonna end up happening......especially when you use them it doesn't lock you getting achievements......

I am guessing it will be like DLC for them but to have this for ESO for official "ADD ONS" would really be a blessing.....

A better idea of what Creation Club is
(HINT: It's not really paid mods)

Skyrim is 6 years old, everything's already been produced. There are plenty of quality story mods out there.

The real test of Creation Club will be Bethesda's next game, not old titles with an already established modding scene.

As much as I love this idea - it is not Zenimax or Bethesda holding back addons for console players - its Microsoft and Sony. I dont see them letting up on this anytime soon unfortunately.

Considering that mods can be created only on PC, it's the same people.

One interesting question is if Creation Club content will be able to bend the current rules of console modding. PS4 is ridiculously limited, so I don't know how they're going to release anything really worthwhile if the rules don't change.

One of the reasons I don't see this as likely for ESO on console is because it is multiplayer.

No mods for ESO allow for the graphical changing of official assets, and only through very limited trickery can 3d (not UI) graphics be added.

It's one thing, to add armor and weapons to skyrim, your machine is the only one that needs to render and process it. In ESO on the other hand, stuff like new armor and weapons through mods is just not viable. Everyone would have to have the mod to see it, the servers would have to have it to calculate armor/resists/damage/etc.

It's just not going to be a thing, I don't think.
