Red Diamond Work With Bows?

Does the Imperial Racial Passive work with bows or staves? It says "melee attacks", but Zos has never been very clear with wording, can anyone test it for me? I would test myself, but no character slots left and I'm about to change race for a stamina character.

Enderus✭✭Pretty sure it will only proc on melee range based attacks. I don't remember if that only applies to stamina/melee abilities or not, but similar rules apply to Redguard's Adrenaline and the Orc's Swift Warrior passives.0 -

✭✭As an Imperial its gotta be melee. Hidden Blade doesnt work but steel tornado does. Ive heard 8 meters or less also.PS4 NA DC0 -
Toast_STS✭✭✭✭Selenes and ravager will proc off javelin at any range. So I guess you never know till you try it with this game.
