What's up with all these complaints about oblivion damage glyphs? They've been a part of the game for like...ages!Seems like zerglings just found out how many enchants really are in the game...
Please fill me in if I missed something during my 1 week break from ESO.

Oblivion enchant was designed with a trade-off in mind: do less damage, but the damage is unresistable, ignoring shields and block alike. The other enchants on the other hand did not go through shields/block, but did significantly more damage to compensate.

The problem with oblivion enchant today is that after battle spirit reduction which halves all other direct damage enchants, oblivion one ends up doing the most damage, on top of also ignoring block/shields, effectively removing the trade-off mentioned above, and making all the other DD enchants obsolete. That's just wrong.

You have a valid arguement, but in all honesty I do not see this as a major issue. In order for that enchant to kill you through block(or even have to worry about it) is if you have like 10% hp,which leads to the sad truth, that you have probably already lost the fight anyway. And shields, unless you're stacking it with shieldbreaker, which would also mean you pretty much lost the fight^^,it really doesn't much of a difference.

It's just much more noticeable in Battlegrounds than in open world PvP. And of course before Knight-Slayer was introduced it was the only source of unresistable damage apart from Shield Breaker. On itself the glyph couldn't do much. But now it just adds up, all the more when you get focused on in BGs.

Good that ZoS fixed the double weapon enchant in the Cyro weapon sets because the bow was with the double oblivion damage

Like most games, true damage (or Oblivion damage in the case of ESO), the counter to this is having more health (or not being hit with this damage with low health).

Guys, the problem is not the damage the oblivion enchant does, the problem is the fact that it is better, in every way, than all the other DD enchants, making them useless.

The major issue is not that it kills through block, but that there is no reason to use any other DD enchant.
