Mountainous (or Snow covered) quest zones

I just started leveling in EP.

I fricking loved Bleakrock Isle.

Been a big fan of Skyrim and was very much pleased Bleakrock Isle.

Then i landed in Dhalmora which was mmm..ok

But after that i am currently in a Stonefalls (Davons Watch) where the entire atmosphere is depressing, weird and full of lava stuff...

Feel like i am questing in a smoldering volcanoe or something...:(

Are all the EP zones this bad ???...Or am I overreacting and should just plough through the bad zone ?

Can someone tell me mountainous/snow covered zones with good scenery where I can quest at level 15 ?

Eastmarch or Wrothgar.

Also you can quest anywhere you want at any level.

And if you don't like non-Skyrim-y zones you are in for a huge disappointment with ESO, there's a WHOLE WORLD out there.. well parts of it anyways.

No...I do love non-alpine zones like Auridon, Grahtwood or even medieval zones like Glenumbra .........but volcanoes man....

Spiders + Lava + Fire + full of Burn Victims + 0 plant life + Volcanos + Smoke = a bit too much for my warden

I agree, for some reason I just don't like Stonefalls or Deshaan. Shadowfen I like much more, though I guess I'm in a minority. And both harsh Eastmarch and lush Riften are among my favourite zones. If you don't have Wrothgar, those might be your go-to-zones.

Please remember that each zone represent different geographic area and basically are meant promote diversity. The ones you might be interested in are Wrothgar and probably Eastmarch. But visit The Rift too and if it's ugly to you - we won't be able to help further.

questing in a volcano is kind of the point, and exactly what Dunmer fangirls wanted, lol

Mountains are nice backdrops, but the draw distance limitations don't make climbing them as rewarding as they should be sometimes and! they make zones a righteous PITA to navigate.

It's strange, I felt the same as you when I first started playing, but Stonefalls grew on me as I quested through the area. Though, part of that is likely due to my love of Dunmer. There's something about a giant volcano that serves as a great metaphor for the constant tension between the Pact's races. As for the disaster that is Shadowfen, not even Bob Ross could paint a pleasant picture for this zone. This and so many of the quests are, "Argonian needs to protect relic. Help him/her." Hands down the worst zone story I have played.

Well, remember your Warden thrives in those types of environments ... due to a lot of enemy mobs having weaknesses to cold damage.

But, from an RP standpoint, I get what you're saying.

My Warden was in Old Orsinium just before today's server maintenance ... the group event forge area at the bottom of the dungeon seemed to go faster than any past trips down there.

Stonefalls and Alik'r are my favorite zones I think, specifically for the barren, post-apocalyptic feel. Very immersive for me.
Different strokes, I guess :-) But yeah, Eastmarch and Wrothgar are where you want to live.

This is probably why I like Wrothgar so much - one of the few regions with mostly snow.

I still love Deshaan but probably because this is the region I went into at the time I got hooked on this game. Mournhold is still my favorite Alliance capital.

If you're playing for the snowy areas.. can I have your stuff when you're gone in 4 hrs?

Skyrim 2 isn't as long as the first. Also, no dragons.

Also if you're into PvP the north of Cyrodiil has some very beautiful snowy landscape. Sad that you see it so seldom if you're not DC.

I agree with you, felt exact same on Pact questline. The worst is yet to come - Shadowfen is the 3rd just overgrown and oppressive.

As others said Eastmarch is snowy, Wrothgar is ace (great questline too) and northern Cyrodiil, there's even a big mountain in Cyro to scale.

I'm not looking forward to Vvardenfell for this reason. All a bit avatar looking. I way prefer snow, mountains and European medical theme over fantasy giant mushrooms

Well... you kinda are, that's how stonefalls is!
And those of os who appreciate it, love it! (also Vvardenfell, which also has a lot of volcanic parts around red mountain)

But the next zone will be different! One of the good things about EP, they have the widest varietee of zones... "winter isle" bleackrock, temperate bal foyen, volcanit stonefalls, lush deshaan, swampy shadowfen, wintery eastmarch, mixed rift... much better then the AD zones, 75% of which are woodlands... or the DC zones which have mostly either "classic medieval european" zones or "classic 1001 nights desert" zones...

Anyways, snow and ice are found in bleackrock, eastmarch, some select mountainous parts of the rift, northern cyrodil and eastern wrothgar. And someday, they will release more of skyrim too I would think, for more of that...

What does vex me a little bit is that the other alliances can always go back to their starter isle, enjoy the atmosphere, relax, craft, whatever; but we of the pact find an unfortunate situation if we return to bleakrock..

I would think, seeing "***" would be quite easy against the white snow...

Oddly *** in this game is coloured a semi-transparent shade of blue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so basically invisible against the white snowy map. Takes away the fun if I can't see what I have to go do next.

Also, need sunglasses when playing there. Science supports my hatred of these snowy places.

It's a personal thing id say Betheny as i can't see squat in the dark over grown high foliage places. Give me bright snow any day of the week, is clear and crisp.
