I'm hoping for remastered Morrowind or Oblivion updated to use the Skyrim character system.

I don't know how they can call it an xbox exclusive lol. It's been out on PC for a long, long time. Most of the games they said were exclusive were not exclusive. Love their rhetoric. I am on of those people who own xbox one, PS4, PS3 and a beast of a PC and PSVR.

How can this be an exclusive? I mean isn't this out for PC right now?

It's early 2018

Only for a short while. Single players games end eventually. Skyrim was only 50-100 hours long. Sure a small minority would keep playing it over and over again as well as play through modded content, but that's insignificant.
Modded or not, ES single player games never end.
If they do, you're playing them wrong

Black Desert is really crap if you just enjoy PVE. PVP enthusiasts will likely enjoy it though

I've spent more time in character creation than playing the game, which has superior combat by the way. Puts every other MMO to shame in terms of smooth combat and control scheme. I hear it's grindy but they all are, so nothing new there.

The game has fantastic visuals and combat. But there is zero substance underneath that pretty exterior (like every other Asian MMO).

ES6 is simply not happening anytime soon.
It doesn't make sense to announce it from a business perspective or a creative perspective.

Sure it does. It's been 6 years since Skyrim. Morrowind was 2002, Oblivion 2006, and Skyrim 2011. I'd say it's about release time! I'm hopeful anyway.

Todd Howard already said that TES6 is a long way off since they don't have the tech they want to make it yet.

No it doesn't.
From a Business Perspective They just re-released Skyrim for higher End Consoles including the Nintendo Switch.
ESO: Morrowind is a slight re-boot bringing life and revenue back to the game.
The Devs clearly have a Big story arc in mind for ESO.
To announce ES6 would rob them of sales for both games, which they put a large investment into.
From a creative Perspective they want to be able to explore other story genres besides Fantasy and Sci-Fi/Apocalypse.
There are clear indicators that they are announcing a game involving space. The project that went by the code word: "StarField".
They also have another new IP they are working on.
Last year Bethesda was asked of they are working on ES6 and they said they have some ideas but development has not actually started.

Sorry my comment wasn't clear.
I'm happy about the Xbox one x for November timeframe so I'll be playing ESO.
But when Black Desert releases....bye.
I have it on pC already but my pc is not 1080p ultra settings.
Console exclusive was a big surprise

Conflicting reports. Well, whatever the news is it should be interesting.

TES6 has been in development since Fallout 4 went gold.
They are working on a new engine for TES6. You also have Project Starfield which will probably be announced this year(tonight hopefully it will be TES in space open world sandbox kinda game)
Project Greenheart(which is probably TES6 will be out by 2019, if they wait any longer then that they will lose their single player modding community and thus their sales...Bethesda knows exactly what they are doing.
The goal is to have:
TES
Starfield
Fallout
New unnamed IP
They should have a solid line up moving forward
