In addition, weather doesn't seem to be universal. I was sitting right next to a friend of mine in the same room while we were both playing together. It was cloudy and drizzly on my screen, while he had clear blue skies on his. We were standing right next to each other.2 -

Weather is client side, that's why you each had different weather standing next to each other.
