Is Anyone Absolutley Sick and Tired of the Slow Fall Bug

Seriously @ZOS_RichLambert , every single time that I do a little bit of exploring and jump around I get the slow fall bug.

Early in the games history it was tolerable and only happened on rare occasions.

Now this happens to me, in the open world, at every new place I visit.

You all thought it was funny to nerf run speed. You thought it was a fun game to nerf jump height.

Is the slow fall bug another version of helping the players have fun?

Enough is enough of this jarring anti-immersive issue.

I've had it be responsible for many deaths, even in Cyrodil. It certainly can be improved upon, but it's not something I'm up in arms about.

It's incredibly irritation. You should be able to roll dodge out of it or something.

A quick bit of code to see how long 'slow fall' has been active could also help, though I'm not sure what original purpose it was supposed to server anyway?
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

From what I can tell, it occurs when a player lands on an incline is to steep to climb.

House roofs, for example, cause players to fall in the same animation as the slow fall bug, but usually players fall quickly off of a house roof.

Maybe terrain is coded differently than a house roof.

Part of this slow fall mechanic is probably to prevent players from getting into unintended places. It could even be good by being slow as it is punishing for trying to reach an unintended spot.

That being said, this bug is happening all over the place without any attempts at trying to do something unintended. A jump can land on something very simple and cost 5 seconds of slow fall animation.

    Very frustrating.

I spend a lot of time exploring looking for chests and whatnot, I tend to stay away from tight rocky areas simply because the slow fall is so annoying. Even worse in PVP when your in a battle and get stuck somewhrre
I don't normally use daggers, but when I do, I choose dos Lekis.

Yeah I hate that! I remember when that wasn't a thing. I remember it happening after stack jumping was removed like when you could mount or run real fast then jump and if you timed your next jump just right, then again and again! You'd be bouncing 20 feet high at fast speeds then you'd start teleporting. After that was gone I noticed the slow falls.

The slow fall bug is likely a change from when we went flying backwards when we hit an area the server found an issue with us being there.

Yes, it is annoying but it better than flying through the air and possibly having a fall great enough to kill us when we are exploring in high areas.

Is the mechanic your are discussing similar to when a horse would get stuck in part of the environment, begin to run super fast, and then become launched across the map?

I would take that over slow fall 1,000,000 times over.

Well, even if it is preferable to have slow fall in those cases, which I don't necessarily agree with, I hope that the developers can at least cause slow fall to not happen so often.

Encountering slow fall in plain old regular areas without trying to exploit the map terrain or anything is a big detriment to me.

On the positive side, I do think they did something to address it a couple of Updates back. It seems to happen to me a lot less frequently. Either they changed something, or I am just better at avoiding it.

This is particularly lovely when the rock you're sliding down like molasses in January is only a couple of feet high, but...

I also love mounting and being treated to an "under-flyover" of the entire zone's level geometry for 5-10 seconds before the camera returns to its proper position.

More silly then vexing, but it would be nice if they could fix.

I have never had the slow falling bug with anything but climbing on three foot high rocks. If I fall from a high area I am fine with dying instead if it eliminated the bug.
