DLC dungeons before reaching 50 + Champ Points...why?

guildwarsguy123b14_ESO
So I just got into a Cradle of Shadows run and my group could not beat the guy who has shades and wraiths pop up around him making him invincible so you have to kill the adds first etc. I'm okay with that mechanic, but when the wraiths popped up (blue clear guys) channeling into the boss, they seriously had to be killed in 2 seconds (literally) or the boss one-shotted the tank every time. Not that one opinion makes a difference, but unless I'm mistaken (wasn't watching, was trying to DPS wraiths), the tank is incapacitated so they are unable to use any defensive abilities to stave off that amount of damage. I don't think there should be any one-shot mechanics at all, but maybe I'm just being a baby about it. Either that or remove the DLC dungeons from the random queues.

I'm a bow user so I was just spamming Snipe/Focused Aim on these things, but with my arrow travel time, it was pretty much too late by my second Snipe/Focused Aim and the tank was dead.

My question is why are these harder dungeons in the random dungeon queue before level 50 if they depend on people being max CP level to do them apparently? Cause we did not have enough DPS to take down the wraiths before the boss one-shotted the tank, every single time. I feel bad for that guy's repair bill :\ (I'm 23 right now so nowhere close to getting CPs at all so, eh)

In CoS, The phase when the two adds pin down the tank, the adds need to be interrupted and the tank needs to roll away, or the tank will die. The boss also has a lot of attacks that the tank needs to block, or the tank dies, particularly the spin attack.

I'd love it if I could opt out of DLC dungeons, but that isn't how the dungeon finder works. You might have queued up for a random, but someone in the group may have queued up for a specific dungeon, and the group was pulled together for them.

Ex: DPS 1 Queued for vCoS because it is the DLC Pledge. DPS 2 and Tank Queued for vet random as a group. Healer queued for a Vet Random on their own. Since DPS 1 queued for a specific dungeon and the rest for a random, they all get pulled into vCoS. If the healer in this example queued for vFungal II, they wouldn't get pulled into the vCoS, they would instead have a group formed around them.

Same thing happens for non-vet as well.

Ex: Healer and DPS 1 queued for nWGT to farm for SPC. It pulls in Tank and DPS 2 who were grouped together for a random normal. Everyone ends up int nWGT.

If you want to know for certain if it is actually random, ask if anyone queued up for the specific dungeon, you'd be surprised how many actually do.

    Edit 1: clarified an example

its worse make an new caracter, level to 10, enter an random dungeon, you have 50% chance of getting an dlc one as they have no level restriction, set it to level 50 minimum, cp50 would be better, add cp requirements on veteran dungeons too.

However no restrictions on an full group going to an specific dungeon. If someone want to try IcP with 4 level 10 why stop them :)

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Bash the wraiths. Don't kill. Be ready for the spawn, bash, continue dps.

I think they should bump the minimum level for the dungeon finder up to 15, just so players will at least have weapon swap before they attempt dungeons. Also, a toggle to opt out of DLC-Dungeons.

There is nothing I hate more on my tank or healer for a random normal is DLC Dungeons, and occasionally Fungal II. Mainly because I have to walk everyone through every boss encounter because nobody in the group has run it before. And half the time there is the one jerk who ignore group chat or the one who says "it's just normal" right before they run into the planar boss >_<
