If anything is creepy, it's a society consisting entirely of adults. Just because Bethesda decided to create little monsters instead of actual children doesn't mean ZOS would do the same - their track record with writing interesting quests and characters is pretty good so far, so I have faith they would do it right. I support any addition that will make the world feel more alive and children would be great at that. It's starting to creep me out a bit at how much players are actively asking about whether or not there are children NPC's in the game. I personally would prefer that they not be in the game, as the children in Skyrim were fairly annoying. The only time I found them somewhat useful and not a nuisance, was when they brought home a pet fox.

It's not healthy to keep a child locked up in a building for 18 years and never let them see the sun.Merlin13KAGL wrote: »

There's stuff that can eat you out there, after all...

Think of it the opposite way: children would be an opportunity to bring a new positive aspect to the game. There could be more lighthearted quests connected with kids, we could see them playing in the streets, they'd show that life goes on despite the horrors of war.The problem is, MOST of the quest in ESO are very depressing, dealing with murder and other negative elements... not really sure ESO's world is a place where we need children... imagine all the quest dealing with dead children, children killed, etc... because that's how many of the quests turn out... someone is always dying. It's nice when you come across a quest that ends positively, but most don't.

People want kids in the game to make it feel more alive, anything that helps my immersion in games is welcome. The world feels dead when there isn't enough in it (the monsters that you encounter every 10 seconds outside of settlements don't count) adding children would make the game feel more real, if you are worried that people with unsavoury motives are the ones who wanting them, perhaps you need to look to your own mind before you start making judgements on other people.
Immersion. And we aren't asking for adoptable children, just children existing in the world. There are many NPCs in relationships in Tamriel, I'm sure some of them have kids.OutLaw_Nynx wrote: »But why? What did they serve purpose for? Quests that a lot of people won't even do? Stay at my house and stare at me awkwardly? I legit don't understand. All of my characters would be horrible parents. They would probably abandoned them in Cyrodiil.
There is also a quest in the rift where you get to sacrifice a reachman (or not) and he talks about his kids... but that's all, kids are only mentioned, never seen, and if a "kid" is seen (for one of those "rescue" quests), it will be an adult looking person inexplicable acting like a scared ten year old...andreasranasen wrote: »There's a quest in Morrowind (can't remember the name) and the NPC is talking about their two children, one of them is 8 years old. Okay...imagine all the quest dealing with dead children, children killed, etc...
