Console Only! Not buying multiple Morrowinds...

How many of us out there got Morrowind thinking it would work on multiple accounts? Ive already seen multiple posts from families of 2-5 who don't want to buy that many copies of just an extra map. In fact not even the consoles themselves knew Zenimax was setting it up like this.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm going on ESO Plus strike xD

I feel a bit slow, but I didn't know that before Morrowind you could anyway...

...so, until now, my fiancee and I could have shared a copy...

    ...oops

Yeah, this is the only thing I don't like about Morrowind.

If it was a DLC, which means only accounts that sub had access to it, that I could understand.

But I paid for it. It should be like every other game on my console that I paid for. My account is primary so anyone on my console (my two kids) that want to play any game I bought have access to that game. The fact that I paid for this "expansion" and it's being treated like a DLC kind of sticks in my craw. Zos should really allow people who have consoles to use this game like any other game they paid money for. I bought Gold edition and my kid has access to that DLC, so why not this?

They really should lock down the original copy so that it only works with a single account to avoid these misunderstandings.

They probably should have sold a family version for like 80$ or something and can support up to 5

Didn't give ZOS the opportunity to screw me over so I didn't buy it

I will when it becomes £/$ 5 on those numerous desperate sales

How would a whole family share 1 MMO on one console?

    It's not like it's splitscreen.

And another ps4 would cost 250, compare that to multiple pc familys.

    Cheers!

If you played one at a time why would you need more then one account anyways?

Besides the whole instant permaban thing for admiting to it.

I have seen a guy get banned in 12 hours after saying he shares an account with his wife.

Well what if you hate pet builds but your son loves em? Etc aside from the whole losing all of your accounts games, time, money etc by being banned for it, there are several reasons not to share a single account

You would have 2 magsorcs then. Or just learn how to switch your skills around..

Like any kid has time to grind 600cp, a million gold to gold out a full set, or the hundreds of keys it takes to get good monster sets.

I don't understand how a family sharing the same account can be a Bannable offense. One Console, one account, and the family each have their own characters, what's wrong with that? Sure they'd be sharing things like Bank inventory, but I still don't see the problem if a couple or a family does this.

Although I don't see the problem with the OP here. Chapters/DLC are associated with accounts, not systems.

Yep. I have the main / psn account and a disc version of the base game. My children can play the base game but none of the dlcs - I bought those with eso crowns on my account in game. But obviously not at the same time.

Morrowind was bought via the playstation store. EVERYTHING ELSE I have bought through the ps store has been available for all accounts on the console. It's the console way

This is what is annoying. And was not made clear beforehand despite repeated asking.

Oh, I wouldn't allow my kid to play on my own account. Kids do silly things when you're not looking. They're young and impulsive and could break TOS without you even knowing. I'm not having my account banned because my kid did something kid-like and annoying on his own character.

This is a console release we're talking about. It should act like all other games bought on console and be accessible to all accounts if the primary account bought the thing.

Or it's a DLC in which case it should be called a DLC and be buyable with crowns instead of or as well as money.

It's not like my kid is going to play more than an hour or two. He just wants to play with a bear and put the game away and go back to Costume Quest or Minecraft or whatever it is that floats an 11 year old's boat this week. I'm not letting him spend his hard-saved allowance on an "expansion" that he's only going to play once or twice and should have access to on my primary console anyway.

Yeah I still don't get what they mean by that, its technically your account but they demand that the owner of the account only play it at any given time, no matter what.

    @MLGProPlayer
It's not account sharing. On console everyone had their own account. The game is shareable among other accounts.

Not against TOS and ZOS TOS doesn't superceed Xbox and PS4 TOS.

Consoles handle the base game different than the PC. Below is from the FAQ ..... it pertains to all DLC's, crown store purchases, etc and as stated here the Morrowind chapter .....

"While multiple players can use the same copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the same console, the Imperial City DLC game pack applies to the individual player accounts rather than to the console itself. Players will need to purchase their own unique Imperial City DLC game packs in the Crown Store for their individual accounts.

Players should also keep in mind that DLC purchased from the Crown Store is also specific to the megaserver that it was initially purchased on. For example, if a player purchases the Imperial City DLC while playing on the North American megaserver, it would not be available on the European one."

It has been this way since the console release in June 2015. Not sure why the OP and others would think Morrowind would be different than the way things have been handled with dlc's, crown store purchases, etc for 2 years .....

ZOS could of locked the base game to a single account from the start on consoles. It was probably Microsoft that required them not to and not a ZOS choice .....

I'm kind of amazed they would allow multiple player accounts for one purchased copy.

How does ZOS handle Morrowind, DLC's, Crown Store purchases, etc on the PC ????

Is PC allowed to purchase one copy of Morrowind, DLC's, Crown Store purchases and share them between different accounts on the same computer? Are they shared on the same account on other servers ?????
