Movement Speed

Just come back to the game after taking a little break just before the Morrowind launch, and it feels like I'm moving faster than I remember.

Did they up the base movement speed or is this just a perceptional thing because I've been playing other games where maybe my character moves more slowly?

It's probably just due to getting back in, as far as I can tell there has been no change in base speed. BUT they did in fact nerf max movement speed. its limited now to +100% your base speed.

It wasn't long before Morrowind that they equalized the sheathed/unsheathed movement speed and I believe they increased the unsheathed movement speed to equal the sheathed. So if before you always ran around with your weapons out, you would indeed be noticing a movement speed increase, which I hate by the way because it was just a small, little, easy-to-do mechanic that let you actually get an advantage if you were smart enough to sheathe your weapons.

Thanks all. Guess it was just me reorienting myself after playing other things. :)

This might be also a side effect of the new kinematic system: a different perception on character speed. By default it's turned on.
